Step 1: throw at rocks. Step 2: set the hook.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Wolf doesn't suck. Three green ones over 18 and two brown ones over 18. If you're friends with me on Facebook, you saw the big one that was..."passing" a Ned head when we caught it, and had a giant shad down its throat. Couldn't get that one to lay flat on the bump for the life of me. Fattest fish I've seen in a while. Green at the outlet, brown everywhere else.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports

They didn't care at all. Everyone wants me to fish when I'm not. Literally every single client. I'm always pretty lax, mostly just dragging something behind the boat because I can't lose focus on them. Both my overs were caught literally dragging a tube behind the boat. Both trips had plenty of good fish caught by them as usual, these are just pictures of my fish lol.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports

We were pretty sureit was a Meanmouth. But considering it was so small it was hard to be 100%. Could have just been a spot/LM hybrid, either way a first for me not being a straight Kentuck.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
@Thefrog22 and I returned from our East KS Bassmasters club championship at LOZ this weekend. Went out of Red Oak, an area that neither of us had fished before. I've fished up from 15mm-4mm and he's fished the opposite direction. We got up there Friday and had the afternoon to pre fish. Didn't really put anything together, it was a weird day but still caught a few fish. From what another member told us it was definitely a morning deal. To make a stupid long report short, we weighed in 4 fish on Saturday (Keith carried us), for around 10 1/2 lbs. They were pretty deep in the brush. I just couldn't catch a keeper. Sunday was the complete opposite-I had our first keeper within 30 mins or so, and two more before 11:30. Right around then, the cold front started moving through and the bite shut off like a light switch for us. So all in all, we finished both days with about 16.4 lbs, which was good for 6th place for both of us (boater and non boater) out of 15 teams. For the entire season, our first year fishing with EKB, I think Keith will end up 5th or 6th for boaters, and I'll be 8th for non boaters. Not too shabby of a season with a top 10 finish for us both. So true.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Last weekend when I was running guide trips in 30 mph wind, I drained my deep cycles in about 6 hours from continuous use on 10.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
You won't regret it.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Well if you have a 12v TM then that's understandable. Takes a lot longer and lot more heavy use to run my 24v system down, which in the long run is better for the batteries themselves.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I can run probably 5-6 six hour guide trips before plugging in my 29s. Depends on the wind Nah man, deep cycles are designed to be regularly deeply discharged using most of its capacity. I always run mine down until my MinnKota indicator is at 1 bar.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I've been running two group 29s from WalMart in my new boat and I dig them. I've used WalMart deep cycles forever.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Co-sign. Nowhere else I'd be in the middle of October in MO right now. Well, except LOZ but that's at the end of this month for our club championship.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports

Water temps were anywhere from 71 at launch to 75 by afternoon. The clarity isn't the problem, it still has a little over a foot of visibility and not muddy, just slightly stained. The problem is the high water level. It's like Clayton said, even if they opened the gates now to drop the level, that in itself is going to shut the fish off, and then you're looking at the time it will take the lake to stabilize when it's through. So I'm not wasting my time there until it settles down, this past weekend was enough for me.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
We didn't even hardly touch 16". Even bass pass fish were hard to come by.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Yup. Terrible. Literally. Highly doubtful.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Your sarcasm is showing. We all have full time jobs. I even basically have a second. Sorry you took such offense to the lurker comment, not sure why as you've been around BR probably longer than I have...but it's true.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I bet the lurkers in here were wondering where everyone went. Surely none of them could have been fishing without any detailed reports.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Just wait til mid-October when it's on fire and go ham.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I don't either. My Facebook On This Day deal is always showing me September slam days from Vern. @conorsixtakc and I were having banner days in mid August even. I don't think it's succumbing to the pressure-just gotta let the water level and clarity settle down and get out of the transition period and I think she'll be back on. It is dirty and high. They were aggressive last week, we were catching topwater fish until almost noon, and then still some around quitting time. And guess what, a few of the bass pass fish we weighed this weekend were hot on a shakyhead bite. Wouldn't touch a tube.- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
All I want is to find the original Elite Tech Smallmouth spinning rod. Like, so badly. Why I never bought one when I even remotely had the chance is beyond me. They aren't for sale anywhere even used, ever because everyone knows how awesome they are/were. - For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
