  1. We should organize a Melvern showdown sometime between now and ditch chicken season. See who's skurd!
  2. We know you ain't! And we know who is skurd!
  3. If you're scared to lose it don't buy it.
  4. we better quit or someone will start talking about selling shoes
  5. I hear it's a toddler move and your risking losing your bait???? lol
  6. Not yet, but I didn't have a guy in the back kicking my butt (for numbers) with a spook.
  7. It was me. I knew it was him, you just don't see very many dodge magnums with a big G on the back.
  8. I was planning on going to Melvern on Thursday when an opportunity to with Bluebasser came up so I called an audible, he reported above on that day. All I can add is that 5 15 felt like it had been eating concrete and he was ready to go back to the ned rig. I had family coming into town this weekend so I didn't really plan anything for this weekend, but did sneak out to Melvern for a half day. Decided to only throw big fish baits that produce violent strikes in lieu of the quantity baits. Had 10 on the pompadour and 2 on the BS and claimed my boat record back from Chris S. on a pompadour. Had to bend the tabs back on the wings twice to get them back in their original position. I knew I couldn't report just catching a dozen fish so I picked up the tube to get the numbers up in the last 45 minutes and caught another 15. front hook in the mouth back hook in the body always Just when I didn't think the BS was going to produce This one looks like he ate a BS previously
  9. KDWP website lists all the tournaments. I wouldn't worry about it there are plenty of places to fish.
  10. Quote from the bull shad owners guide: The 5 incher really shines on schooling fish whether it be bass, or smaller hybrids or white bass. The 6 incher you can work at semi slow to fast retrieves . The 5 incher is strictly a slow to medium retrieve bait. You can throw both of these baits on your favorite normal bass rods and reels. For the 5 incher you can rig it on any spinnerbait/senko type rod (Medium Heavy action) and use 15 to 20lb test Triple Fish camo line and the four power Dobyns 734 Champion Extreme rod is the perfect rod for this bait. The 6 incher you can easily throw it on your favorite flipping stick and I would reccomend using 20lb test Triple Fish Camo line. Do keep in mind that you can throw the baits on lighter line but, it's the constant torquing of the knot throwing these 2 to 4oz baits causes your line to weaken. That is why I reccomend using a big heavier line than what you can actually use and as an added benefit is it helps prevents you from losing your lure so always be checking your knots especially if you use less than what I am reccomending here.
  11. excuses excuses.......they recommend throw the 5" on a spinnerbait rod
  12. A month ago I said the same thing!
  13. Jigman knows what my big fish bait is.
  14. Your getting advice from the 3 guys who fished there frequently in the last month so have fun and watch that wind.
  15. A guy I work with claims he does. Not sure I've heard of anyone else doing it. It would be tough to try it when the topwater bite is on.
  16. Jigman forgot to report on the fish that spit up a live craw in the boat.
  17. I've seen 29" and 30" walleye come out of that lake, just not this year.
  18. Check last couple of pages of the kc area report. It's been pretty consistent with some 2lb+ fish showing up. Saturday had two tournaments so they have been pressured.
  19. Easily, with 3 guys. It was kind of slow early, I got 2 good fish right off the bat then it slowed down. After noon it turned on, I mean getting bit on every cast and doubling up. Coty caught a 3 at about 2:30 on a rover. Had a real good fish follow a bullshad. When we started the water temp was 66, but it quickly went back up to 77. Coty did make me go to the dam so his buddy could experience it. There are some better fish up on the dam. Coty won the sunfish challenge 4 to 3 and him and Johnny had double on largemouth. Glad we were able to show Johnny a good time.
  20. Jigman didn't mention the beatdown he put on the sunfish with a spook. They don't come unbuttoned on the pompadour for sure, that bait gets hammered. We did prove a spook will out fish a pompadour 3 to 1 quantity, quality is a different story. Now I'm down 3 rods the 2 sizzle broke in the tailgate and the one I bounced out of the boat trying to splash water to cool off some.
  21. It's time for an intervention. Dude is obsessed.
  22. He's rolling a mod v though. East isn't too bad since the dam blocks some of it.
