3” Lunker City Ribster
Well, green pumpkin has been the solid performer so far.

Lunkerhunt Phantom Spider
Yeeeahh, I’ll be passing on that one

School me on swim jigs!
Take this with a grain of salt I’ve come away from swim jigs. In my waters the swim jig never did better than just running a keitech swimbait by itself without the skirt. The added skirt really proved to be no real advantage whatsoever. Though, it was no disadvantage either.

3” Lunker City Ribster
On a drop shot, this little bait is magnificent. Every time I use it, around shore, off of docks, etc. it’s almost always a fish on every cast. Its performance for me has been up there with the 3” senko, and Ned rig. so for drop shotting for numbers...it’s officially my go to.

Do Jelly Worms float?
Well for a worm...Roboworm is probably your best choice on the drop shot.

Strike King Rage Tail Craw Alternatives
I get equal success between rage craws, paca craws, and zoom super speed craws

Do Jelly Worms float?
6” jelly worms seem to sink. 9” jelly worms float But yeah, wouldn’t be my preferred choice for drop shot

Do you guys glue your kietecs to the ball head.
Yes....super glue works great. if you want to rely on a baitkeeper from a jig head, then take the skirt off a swim jig and use the skirt cone as a bait keeper. Then use super glue on that also. but super glue works better than any baitkeeper or bait keeping trick there is. Super glue protects the bait best

A thought about Versatility
Completely Agree, I’ve been using the 2.8 fats, and 2” easy shiners for years. With great success. The Charlie Brewer Slider Minnow, has been even better. Fantastic bait! At 2 1/4”, The perfect size and action to appeal to nearly all species, with the benefit of extra durability. I’ve put my keitechs away for now in favor of using these.

Recommended Hook For 10” Ribbontails
Just personal preference. I like a lower profile. the fish probably don’t care either way
-
Recommended Hook For 10” Ribbontails
For 10” ribbon tail worms, I use only 1/0 or a 3/0 offset hook. No need for anything larger For 10” Maximus worms or 12” worms, I use 3/0 - 5/0 offset hooks

How does a Texas rig hook a fish? (The physics behind it)
Easy way to experiment with this..... Hold the texas rigged plastic in your hand. Close your hand completely around the bait, so that nothing is exposed but the line. Then hand the rod to your wife. Tell her you blew all the savings money on fishing gear, and walk away. Hang On tight The physics, will just come to you. ? Tight Lines

Yappa Frog Review
The jitterbug action certainly functions well on a straight retrieve. But unexpectedly, the addition of that lip, really seems to make the walking action, highly enhanced.

Targeting Trophy Smallmouth
Agreed....Location has always been the key factor. And as mentioned, Larger baits could attract the larger fish, but depending on waters, season, and conditions of the day, its certainly not always the case. Thanks fellas,

Targeting Trophy Smallmouth
Thanks Scott, I appreciate it

Savage Gear Hard 4 Play 2.0 review
Liked it.. The 8" model swims so nicely, and functions flawlessly, at all retrieve speeds. Stop the retrieve and it effortlessly glides into a 90deg turn. only caught an 18" smallmouth with it, so far. Savage Gear just needs to expand their color selection. Overall, great bait

Targeting Trophy Smallmouth
Does there exist any specific, bait, lure, or technique that is used to target only the larger, trophy sized smallmouth? Thx

A thought about Versatility
Cant say that I agree with the use of the term "Versatility" in regards to bass fishing baits. Versatility, seems to be defined as how many different ways one can rig a bait. The ever present mantra of - "Its so versatile you can Texas Rig it, Carolina Rig, use as a jig trailer, drop shot it, dead stick it, swim it through cover, rig it weightless, rig it this way, and that way"...........This not really a selling point for me, as most soft plastics baits can share that same kind of "versatility." and be rigged all those same ways...And...Quite frankly, I can do the same thing with a hot dog. For me though, the value of "versatility" really shines more when a bait, appeals to multiple species. When I can use a bait, that appeals to Largemouth, Small mouth, Crappie, White Bass, Pike, and target those species specifically. Now thats versatility. When I can use the same bait catch freshwater fish, and saltwater species. Now thats versatility. Versatlity always means more to me, than just how many different ways you can stab a hook through the same bait. Just my 2 cents.

Red Worms
When fishing worms, is the color Red, actually a a productive color? How would you rank it against other colors Like Green Pumpkin, Junebug, Watermelon, etc?

Jig fishing from shore
I throw jigs around certain points and weedless structure that I can get to. I typically use 1/4oz - 3/8oz.

Ashamed to say...
Fat Ikas have been a mainstay, for both LM and SM from shore. They have been a great producer, and also caught 3 - 4lb/5lbers on it. I use it for all of my shallow jigging applications from shore. And has been unbeatable for sight fishing thus far. Yes indeed. You will find a similar spread of response if you asked the question, "What works when nothing else does?" The variety of responses will encompass nearly everything you can find at the store. Location, for the most part, is key.

Ashamed to say...
The 5" Senko.......Never caught one single fish on that. However - The 3" Senko catches more fish for me than the Ned Rig. Go figure.

Yappa Frog Review
Liked it.. Honestly, despite it being designed with a jitterbug action.....The walk-the-dog action is by far the most effortless and easiest of any frog Ive ever used. Regardless of line type used. Havent yet used it enough to catch fish with it, but I am thoroughly impressed.
