Disgusted!
Some people are just raised and taught better, so give your parents big thanks for me! But yeah as far as the spawn goes, depends on the population of the area for that species, you might want to look into it. Contact your local DNR.

Saturday can't come fast enough! After last week's fishing trip, I have been itching to get back out on the water. It's been raining last couple of days so hoping that will make for great fishing in the morning. Been reading a lot on worms and senkos, I want to work these hard tomorrow, but I am at the mercy of my friend who will be driving the boat. I try to complement to what he is fishing with, most of the time...lol.

15MAR2015 It was sooo nice to be back out on the lake after the cold weather has gone! Weather was great, slight chilly in the morning moved into 70s by midday. Water temp ranged from 50-68 degrees, fish were hard to locate, majority caught were even on the sonar. Caught a few bass off of my new Fat Free Guppy crankbait out of the $2.99 box at Academy, love discount bait! Don't have pictures right now, but they weren't that big only a 1-2lbers, still fun though! Baits used: Rubber Worms w/bullet weight - worked Blue craw w/weight - not worked Fat Free Guppy crankbait - worked best White and Green jig w/ and w/o trailers - not worked Pumpkin jig - not worked Baby Bass Fluke - not worked

29OCT2014 Points West Get a late start to lake, check. Step in a lot of mud on the bank and almost lose shoe, check. Get one of your favorite lures stuck on tree sticking out of water, check. Brake the line trying to retrieve lure, check. Don't get a bite all morning because you are furstrated trying to catch a fish, check. Something told me to stay home today. Guess I just had a bad day, got in a lot of practice though, pitching and flipping are going to take a whole lot more practice, I so suck at it...lol. Saw some top water action going on, but that about it. But you know, about half way through my fishing day, I took a moment to just look around. Looked at the trees starting to turn colors, seeing the bait fish swim just a few feet in front of me, taking in a deep fresh breath of air, and really just enjoying my surroundings to remember why I love the outdoors so much. Saturday has to be better!!!

Basic Training And Fishing Fever
It’s a dry heat…lol. Fort Huachuca, been there, done that, loved Huachuca Canyon, about the only place that had any trees and running water around. One thing I found from being in the Army for 20yrs, is that you make the best of what you can where you are stationed. Go see Tombstone(get the Death by Chocolate at the restaurant across from big nose Kate’s), Phoenix, the Copper Mine in Bisbee and the Grand Canyon, point is just go and have fun! So the fishing has been good here in Georgia for me, caught some of my PBs here just enjoying the time out on the water. Thanks for your service! Chief Oz

25OCT2014 Cherokee Creek It was a VERY foggy morning, couldn't see but 5 foot in front of the boat. Had to use GPS to navigate, had to listen for the bait to hit the water, couldn't see nothing. Once the sun came up and burned off the fog we hit the points, coves, and the creek channels, got 3 small ones on lipless cranks. Nothing on the blue and black jig, lizard, chatter, cranks, worms, flukes or craws. One of the fish that was caught still had a craw in its mouth, tried that for a while, but nothing. Slow day at the lake for me and my fishing partner for sure. Side note: For the top water the fish were bumping the baits, mind you it wasn't strikes, it was bumps, don't know what this means or if anyone has see this before, just thought it was strange. Maybe the fish were trying to scare of what they thought were intruders? IDK.

Trash...
WARNING THIS IS A RANT. So I went fishing today. Before leaving the house I was thrilled that I was able to go outdoors to enjoy the wonders and excitement of nature. Just thinking about that beautiful sunrise, the water gently splashing on the bank of the lake, taking in all the fresh air, seeing the birds fly, deer run, and the fish jumping, yep, sounded really good in my head until I got to the lake. Then I saw it. Why? That’s the only question that kept running through my head. Why would anyone that calls themselves an outdoorsman do such a thing? Are you so lazy that you can’t throw away your beer bottles and cans? Your fishing bait cups scattered along the shore line. Is this what I defended your freedom for? So you could trash up this country? Most days it really sickness me that I share the same air as these people, these nasty, lazy, unappreciated, disrespectful scum. I really wish you could understand how good you have it here in the USA, and to see this kind of crap scattered all over a lake really disappoints me. Whenever someone finds out you have been in the military, you always hear “thank you for your service” or “I(we) support the troops”. Well that’s nice and all, but the best way you can support this troop, is to cherish what I fought for, our country. Pick up after yourself, I not saying you have to clean up everything(unless you brought it), but picking up a little is better than nothing. For those that are not that smart I got pictures for you! 1.Trash goes in these. 2. Pick trash up. 3. Put in can. 4. Done. Easy right? Kept this posting as clean as I could. Have a nice day.

23OCT2014 Chilly morning starting out, went to Points West today to fish the banks, never have caught anything there...until today. Used my best buddy Mr. Lizard and caught a good size one, I had some issues getting this bass up on shore so he got a little dirty. Then I tried the peanut crank and caught the second one, really small. Thought it was funny so took a picture of it. So same indicators as the days before, very little top action, bigger fish in the deep, small ones on top and in shallows. Turned out to be another beautiful Georgia morning! 1st one 2nd one
