  1. lol, ok when I first read "color c lector" I thought it was a joke thing, after I saw it twice in this same thread I googled it. It's a real thing that cost me money to tell me what color to fish with...lol, no thanks. I will stick with the experienced folks advice on the forums. Might as well mount a color wheel and spin it. ha!
  2. 5lbs 8oz. Is there a prize for the right guess? lol. Did you take it back and weight it or we just guessing? Nice fish either way.
  3. I had to start coping down everything I been reading and watching just to try it all out, I forget about most of the techniques and baits when I get out on the water...lol. Great job tho!
  4. Sounds like a good idea, I'm in, just let me know when and where.
  5. Heard this one today: So fishing with my friend the other day, he catches a big ol' bass, takes it of the hook, reaches down under the seat and pulls out a bottle of whiskey. He takes a shot, swooshes it in his mouth and then spits in the bass' mouth and releases it. This continued on for quite awhile. Finally I asked him why he was doing this? He replied by saying, "when I let the bass go, he is going to go tell the other fish that he was caught and not to bite, but they won't believe him if he is drunk."
  6. White spinner bait. Proof:
  7. OK, cool thanks for the info. I just got done watching Glenn's video on chatter baits, he was using a white chatter with trailer. It seems that may be the hot ticket right now..lol. Congrats on the tournament btw. I was going to enter one this month, but I realized I needed to practice more and save my money.
  8. As my buddy would say, "Doesn't madder how big it is, it's still a fish!"
  9. DJ welcome! As a fellow WV transplant I can say you can get rid of your snow shovel now....lol.
  10. http://www.southernfishing.com/current-fishing-report.html Found this site for most up to date(weekly) info for GA lakes.
  11. Congrats! Bet you are a frog man now....lol.
  12. Probably work the shallows near the streams, according to blackmax135 and Mtnfisher. I like Cherokee Creek and Soap Creek best. Fish have been in the beds last couple times I have been up. Should be pretty good fishing ahead with hopefully the last cold snap gone. Good luck to ya!
  13. From Dazed and Confused: (My favorite movie ever!) 1. All I'm saying is that if I ever start referring to these as the best years of my life - remind me to kill myself. 2. I love those redheads! 3. That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age. 4. All right, all right, all right.
  14. If it didn't break on you while you had it out on the water or overheated, etc, you should be in the clear. The shop should flush the motor with some fresh oil, then top you off. A good shop should show you some major things to check on your motor before taking it out, i.e. the oil cap is on. If they don't, find the service manual online download and read it. I have saved myself countless maintenance fails just by reading the service manuals before using the equipment. Best of luck to ya!
  15. Welcome fellow Georgian.
  16. 28MAR2015 It was freakin' cold! lol I didn't catch nothing, me and my friend had a plan. We both been researching and developing our plan, which of course goes out the window when you get on the water...lol. Oakley Bass Tournament was going on down at Wildwood, we went up to Soap Creek. Checked the results after we loaded up the boat, those guys must have knew what to do, man how discouraging seeing their weight-ins. It was crowded up at Soap too, seemed like everyone was out for the morning, almost didn't have a spot to park. Well, besides freezing my tail off, I had fun and enjoyed the day out on the water. Can't always get the fish I guess, but you can always enjoy your time.
  17. Just gotta say, wish I have a good friend like you! That's really great that you doing that for them. Best wishes for your friend and hope ya'll bring in a lot of money for them.
  18. Agreed! Fish can't tell a difference between the $8 and the $1 lures. I found a gem of one in the discount bin not too long ago and its my go to when nothing else is working.
