  1. I smoked for almost 30 years, like most loved to smoke and enjoyed it, I have switched over to Vaping myself, same actions without all the toxics! If you are a smoker that just can't let it go, I would highly recommend this option!
  2. I found this chart and the guy that did it did a great job with it. Again, it is not mine, I am an amateur so I need all the help I can get...lol. Hope this helps you out.
  3. Thank you sir, and sorry about your timing. I did find out that the power generation stopped around 0930, so you might want to call the Corps number to find out what times the will be generating (letting water out).
  4. Beautiful warm morning, little drizzle, water temp 65. Used green and brown plastics, worms, lizards, and others. Caught several nice bass and one catfish. 1st and biggest of the day caught by my friend it was 4lbs.
  5. Went this morning killed them up near Cherokee. Found them on the back side of islands from the wind with anything Brown and green plastics. Bite stopped around 0930.
  6. 1). What is the most challenging thing you find about fishing? Besides fitting in more time to fish, I would say that it would be that it’s a constant learning process with ever changing conditions (weather, water, temperature, etc.). 2). What is the most fun and exciting part of fishing? (Obviously catching a fish ;-) But anything else you find exciting?) The planning, preparing, finding the fish, identify what they are biting on. I also enjoy the environment, sunrises, sunsets, and the bait fish popping the top of the water!
  7. Back of a cove on 5inch Albino Fluke presentation slow dying bait fish. Evening catch. Picture doesn't do this fish justice, it was a good 3+lbs.
  8. Congrats on the retirement, your going to go crazy with all the extra time...lol. Like the others said. 1. Read the articles. 2. Watch the videos for fishing techniques. 3. Find someone that knows the area or region that you are fishing (a guide, online people, local bait/tackle shop), they will be able to help you fish better. A good mentor will be their weight in bass gold. 4. Download Google Earth to go back in time to view your area when the water is low to find underwater structures (logs/trees, rocks, etc.) where the fish may be at. 5. Depending on your budget you can do a lot or a little and still be successful. 6. Have fun and enjoy your surroundings!
  9. Sorry for your loss. Best wishes to you and your family.
  10. Got two nice ones yesterday off of a White Chartreuse Booyah Tandem 3/8 oz Spinnerbait with a white grub trailer. They were in the back of the creek channels in about 4 - 8 ft. water. Ran it low and slow as possible.
  11. I agree with ya stkbassn, a fishing license should cover it all, all these rules! lol
  12. Bear baits you say? lol
  13. I was there, as like I am with most weekends, but no one else was.
  14. Well hope you get it working. So I didn't meet anyone today nor did I catch any either....lol
  15. Yeah that's what it's looking like. I will be going fishing either way. So if you don't show no worries.
  16. So agree, cause what you are currently doing isn't working!....lol
  17. Welcome Caro1ina, thank you for your service. I see you already found the other Meet and Greet so you should be good to go. I assume your on Gordon, so am I. Let me know if you need anything.
