  1. Ive bean using a 674 (6'7") Extra fast powell endurance. I have the chance to trade for a 855 (7'1") fast Now heres the problem. I love my powell. Ideally I would just want a longer version of it. Both rods are rated at 1/4 oz to 1 oz. That being said one is a 4 power and one is a 5. My concerns are that the loomis will be a broomstick. It will mostly be used for pitching and casting lighter timber with a 1/2 oz jig and rage craw trailer. Any reviews on the loomis or comments on the situation would be greatly appreciated.
  2. rage craws...
  3. I have fished both rods. only fished with the E6X briefly since not many people have it and its recently came out. I have more experience with the dobyns which is why i lean toward it. Just my opinion.
  4. ^^^^^^^^^ This!!!!! 7lb sniper is great stuff
  5. Your signature says your a denali prostaffer. How do like those rods?
  6. Bottom Line your buying from two of the major companies, its hard to go wrong
  7. could ya send that info my way too please!
  8. With a champion from dobyn's you are getting their flagship model. The E6X from loomis is a new, unproven rod built for a budget. With the E6X loomis had to "cut corners" to lower the price point. Loomis's are made in america and have arguably the best name and warranty in the buisness. You end up paying for American craftmanship costs(which i support 100%). What I dont like about the E6X is that you end up paying alot for the name and warranty. I feel buying a higher end rod in the loomis lineup would result in getting the full quality loomis has to offer. A dobyns is a tournament proven stick, its been around for awhile and has set a bench mark for the bass fishing world.
  9. look up spring lake ca

    1. get the bait. 2. go to tackle warehouse 3. buy the same thing......only the original. Little creepers trash fish. The originals are WAY softer and swim much better. they have a nice wobble but dont tip over. and you can fish them much slower with the same action. Tight lines
  11. Thanks for all the responses, I have quite a few powells, maxe and endurances mostly. I just wanted an opinion on the other options in that price range.
