  1. I guess mono and braid float while flouro sinks that can definitely change the fall rate
  2. clarification I now realize you were talking about brands not the fall rate
  3. I did check the senko FAQ believe me I know its annoying with all these senko questions but I did check
  4. I don't know if this has been asked before but what is the fall rate of a senko in inches or feet per second. I'm just trying to figure out how long I should let it sink before I'm on the bottom as I haven't been able to figure that out by feel yet. Thanks in advance. Also I'm throwing it on 8# fluorocarbon with a 3/0 gammy hook
  5. gyb senko weightless weedless rig (baby bass #205??) dropshot (roboworm aarons pro magic) jerkbait (redear shad) rattletrap (redear shad) swimjig (blue and brown) texas rigged baby brush hog (green pumpkin) arky head jig with rage craw chunk trailer (natural oranges)
  6. on spinning gear I hold the line, but I don't for bait casters
  7. I have more success weightless Texas rigged. Also wacky rigged with vinyl tubing works very well.
  8. also the sharp 90 degree bend on EWG hooks keeps fish in better IMO. If the hook starts to turn then that 90 will usually stop the hook from coming out.
  9. Yeah i forgot about the modern stuff. I spend most of my time with old POS trucks in auto shop at school so most everything is old and analog so we just go by what the gauges say and that kind of stuff. Sorry for the confusion.
  10. There is definately something wrong with the oil. If your gauge is reading a maximum oil pressure there is probally a blockage somewhere. As for just the speedo then its fine. Basically its a cable that twists with the speed of the tires and it is corresponding to the gauge. If something slips or the tension is released at some point the speedo will read wrong.
  11. the top the top oval line tie split ring kinda looks like a strike king
  12. I think its an xcalibur
  13. For punching its the same amount of weight in a smaller area. This means that you can punch the same grass with a tungsten weight that you cannot with lead or steel.
  14. I personally really do not like senkos. They have never worked with weight for me and throwing them weightless is a PITA because they fall so slow. I throw brush hogs or rage craws and seem to do much better that way. That being said for water with little structure or cover senkos may be superior.
  15. What do you guys do differently or just in general when fishin a squarebill?
  16. Does anyone use the KVD line and lure conditioner? I have fluorocarbon on most everything and was wondering if this would make the FC a little easier to handle.
  17. They are very good rods. I could not recomend anything better in that price range.
  18. Swimbaits on Clear Lake. Probaly one of the best fisheries in the world and certainly the best in cali.
