  1. Zoom Trick/Finesse worms and never look back.....
  2. I think that's the Okuma Matt Daddy, which has a guide close to the reel for the purposes of easier flipping.
  3. I did a similar trip about 5 years ago, although I was little I still look back on it as one of the funnest vacations of my life. And BTW, Rocky Mountain National Park is a must if you're visiting Colorado!
  4. As if the trick worm wasn't durable enough, Zoom is making this version: http://zoombait.com/2016/08/zoom-gives-the-trick-worm-the-z-3-treatment/
  5. Nice work!
  6. I flip either a jig or a craw depending on my mood and a heavy spinnerbait is always a go-to.
  7. I have an elderly friend who was fishing once on a very steep bank, fell in, and couldn't climb out. He said he was in the water holding onto the bank for 30 minutes.
  8. Plenty of options. -Blow up the barn -Use a 12 Gauge -Sick Raider's hellhounds on 'em -Get in the middle of a nuclear war
  9. I doubt you'll ever need another one!
  10. It's a sweep/reel to the side for me.
  11. Wanted to take the time to thank you for sharing that; I ain't never fished a jig in grass but I guarantee I would have done it completely wrong without your counsel.
  12. I believe, someone correct me if I'm wrong, that that's a St. Croix Rage Rod.
  13. Way too cool!! Awesome, happy for you brother! And the real question is; are there bass in the big pond and do they bite Big Head Wobblers?
  14. I haven't personally, but I do know for sure that there are no rules in what you can put on a carolina rig, or any rig for that matter. Give it a try!
  15. What these two fine gents said ^^
  16. -Zoom Trick Worm. Thing is awesome. -Rage Craw. Best craw ever. -Zoom Brush Hog. -Zoom Super Fluke -ZMan TRD
  17. Awesome! And haha, looks like the name stuck
  18. I usually wait one tiny second and then slam the hook home. Often I can see the bass strike so that helps too.
  19. I hear bigfoot really digs some JJ's
  20. Ain't no replacement for a burger on the grill; often cheaper and exactly the way I want them. A heck of a lot better too.
  21. I have a bad experience with leaders, and gave them up a few months ago. Since I use my only spinning rod for lots of finesse purposes, I like to keep a clear, less visible line on it. So therefore, I don't have braid on my spinning reel. I wish I could solve my leader issues but I'm a little gunshy of them lol.
  22. By the way, my dad has a little Toyota Corolla from the early 2000s, it's a pretty tiny car, and I can fit all my 7'0 or smaller rods in it (I use shorter rods than most, I know, I like them short for bank fishing). I don't know how long of a rod you want to get for him, but if you think outside the box you can fit rods inside most vehicles, unless you're driving a Smart Car lol.
  23. I suggest a name change for ya, Hootie: Hootie the Hottie
  24. Zoom worms have always gotten it done for me as well.
  25. I used to used EWGs because I was cheap, but now I use Gamakatsu splitshot/dropshot hooks and they freaking rock. Never lose fish with them. Extra-wide gap hooks aren't terrible, but their are better options.
