  1. I would gravitate towards something that makes more commotion; such as a popper, buzz frog, or a buzzbait. However, I'm sure the bass will eat a spook in muddy water, it just wouldn't be my first choice.
  2. I'll do this sometime this week, after my ankle heals from a basketball injury. Thanks for posting man.
  3. Go for it, I'd give you the cool dad of the year award ??
  4. Honestly, the benefits aren't really worth it if you're just getting a discount on product. The company is still earning money from you while getting you to work hard promoting their product. There are some companies that earn more revenue from their pro staff than they do from regular customers. If you're big enough or desirable enough, companies will pay you to promote their product. Otherwise, honestly, it's probably not worth it. You're better off just buying from tackle warehouse.
  5. The jig has become the lure that I look to most of the time; it gets enough bites that it doesn't take the dedication to throw that, say, a huge swimbait would, but it also catches big bass. It fits almost every situation and weather condition.
  6. They're on Cali time, if you're on a different time zone it usually starts later in the day.
  7. Mine would get quite a few astericks
  8. White/Chartreuse and Black are what I throw.
  9. Maybe trying giving a regular earthworm some hard liquor or something, that one you're asking about looks like it's high on something if you ask me ?
  10. I love my older MG, have had zero problems with it and it's been a fantastic reel. Getting it brand new for $50.00 didn't hurt either
  11. My spinning rod is the Lightning Shock, which I like better than the basic Lightning. I have 0 complaints with it and see no need to replace it atm. I'm slowly upgrading all my stuff, but I think that one will be last on the list.
  12. 1. Jig 2. Spook 3. Wacky trick worm 4. Big Joshy Swimbait 5. Red Eye Shad
  13. X2 They rock!
  14. Yes, there was a whole article about it on Bassmaster, it's been a top secret bait for many years; the original molds were destroyed in a Chinese factory fire years ago. BPS discontinued the baits because people couldn't figure them out; apparently one of the pros found the right retrieve with them and they were magic. https://www.bassmaster.com/gear/old-bait-won-t-die
  15. I use palomar for braid and the clinch knot for everything else; never had a problem with either of them that wasn't my fault.
  16. Nice work my friend!!
  17. It's crazy how much it costs to go to college, I'll be paying my way through it and it's near impossible to do so without student loans. I'm trying to be the exception to that, I already have over 5k saved up in the bank, but that's a drop in the bucket as far as college expenses are concerned. I've thought about going the military route and having them pay for my college, still thinking about that one.
  18. Make sure your brakes and spool tension are set correctly (tons of resources online for this); you should have no problem casting most hollow body frogs. I find them some of the easiest lures to bomb out there! Also, I wouldn't recommend using most spinning rod setups for frogs. Good luck man.
  19. It's funny to me that some of ya'll are so surprised by this, when hundreds and hundreds of products similar to what we have going on here (not a original design) are being sold and marketed as new every year. Rapala comes to mind especially with their jerkbaits, which they always hype up as having super special action, when they are really just another jerkbait. I have complete, 100% faith in Strike King and particularly the Rage Tail lineup; I've never tried a bait from either branch that I disliked; in fact I routinely throw most of the products that Rage Tail makes; I'm a huge fan of their baits. I have no doubt that the Rage Tail Swimmer is going to be a killer bait, although perhaps not as game-changing as some of their previous offerings. Is this a completely original and unique design? No. Have some minor improvements been made over the Keitechs? Perhaps, only time will tell. All I know is, I'm sure this will catch lots of fish and be a winner.
  20. I listen to a lot of pop, rock, some Christian contemporary and Christian rap. Most of the time it's the radio at work so basically whatever is the jam at the moment is what I'll be hearing. My boss likes country, and I still have yet to work up a love for it lol.
  21. Do yourself a favor and get an apple computer ?
  22. Buy used & save the difference!
  23. They're great baits! I'm not a lizard person personally but I know a lot of guys that like them.
