Feels good to be back in the gym and hitting the pavement....
Good work brotha! I get up every monday morning at 5:00 to go meet my workout group; it's awful getting out of bed but it really helps me start the week well and get my mentality straight for working out more that week.

Having trouble fishing jigs
The first jig fish I ever caught, I didn't feel at it at all until my rod doubled over; thankfully it was an energetic little thing or else I never would have caught it. It got easier from then on. One thing that really helps is keeping your thumb and pointer finger on the line at all times when dragging a jig or working it really slowly. I'm right handed and keep the fingers of my left hand on it while working it. Hopping and swimming a jig quickly, I don't usually do that. But it helps with an ultra-slow presentation. Jigs are awesome, there's just some misconceptions about them.

Windows 10
Windows 10 is much, much better than 8, but I'd still go the Mac route if I was buying a new computer. If you like seven, you'll probably like ten.

Tried searching the Ned rig post and..
A Ned rig is typically smaller in weight and size. The main difference is working them, the Ned is so light that you can barely feel it, where as the shakeyhead is more of a direct weight on the rod tip.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
It really does keep you interested. I had a guy on here send me a bunch of stuff from a huge Mike Iaconelli giveaway he won, plus almost 6-7 other guys load me up with extra tackle. They really helped me get into fishing techniques and the like. Keep up the good work.

What do you bring bank fishing?
I take a backpack crammed with baits and lures. As @Master Bait'r always says, take out what you don't find yourself using periodically, you'll end up with less weight and get rid of baits you probably won't have every thrown anyway.

Tell me about your Big One that got away.
It was pouring rain, and I threw a buzzbait across the pond to a sunken laydown. It hit the water, and it was raining so hard that I didn't see any commotion or attack. It just disappeared and my rod doubled over. This was about a month after I'd caught my pb of 7.12 in this same pond. Pretty sure it was the same fish. It fought me for about three minutes, then came up and jumped, and my buzzbait came flying back at me. Pretty dang disappointing. I got a good look at it and it was easily in the 7-8 pound range.

Chances of catching a 10 pounder
To anyone else I'd say the ones that get away are always DD, but I trust your judgement

And I'll bet a good quarter of them were caught by you

Question about crankbaits
You'll have the same problem with square bills, unfortunately. I'd try a wake bait like they suggested, such as the KVD 1.0 or Manns Minus 1, and also I love throwing spinnerbaits and chatterbaits; those won't get you hung up as much.

Go big or Go home? baits eddition
Throw a jig! Small bait, but one heck of a big bass producer. Frogs, spinner baits, buzzbaits, and chatterbaits are also known big fish lures that will catch quantity as well.

Chatterbait Trailer
Basically any swim bait. I usually use a hand poured from a friend or some keitechs

Are we (you) genetically predisposed to fish?
Some people are more talented than others. Thinking specifically of the Roland Mary-Ann and Scott Martin dynasty. Rick Clunn, Kevin VanDam, and Aaron Martens all have something that noone else has. It's more than just skill too.

Chances of catching a 10 pounder
Get out there and live out your dreams! One day it'll happen for me. I've been extremely blessed to catch one almost 8 and multiple 5+s in the second year that I've been fishing. One day that big momma is going to bite. That's what I fish for.
