co angler: how to fish "slow"
The guy I fish with is a reaction bait, run and gun type of guy. For one, it's been good for me to learn that style of fishing. But oftentimes, I'll pick up a jig and fish behind him. I get about one cast to his three, but I can keep up even with the trolling motor rolling along.

Look what I found in an old box
I've caught a ton of fish on a bag of those black/red tail worms. Mister Twister I think.

Fantasy!!! Bull Shoals
My lineup: Justin Lucas: Obvious choice for me. Makes the cut in over 80% of BASS tourneys and is not only incredibly consistent, but also incredibly good. Brent Ehrler: Has great consistency and experience. Feeling confident about a top 20 for Brent in this one. Brian Snowden: Also gotta balance your picks with a local, so Snowden got my nod here. Alton Jones: Very unusual to find Alton in bucket D. I see a comeback for him here. He's far too good of a fisherman. Casey Ashley: This ole' Carolina boy will feel at home in this deep, clear lake.

Thinking about moving south (North Carolina)...help me please!
Yeah Harris is the big bass factory around me. It's a power plant lake and so there's a lot of crap in the water. So people don't take the fish and there's tons of 8-10+ pounders in there. Haven't had the chance to experience that for myself yet, unfortunately. But everybody will tell you. There's a ton of potential in Harris. My friend who's a crappie fisherman was reeling in a crappie on Harris and had a 10 pound bass eat it on the way up. Talk about a fun fight lol

DUDE. NC rocks. All the tournaments in the lakes around me right now are being won with 30 pound bags. And I don't even live near the good lakes in NC. I love this state so much.

Your Favorite SB, Sbaits or SB Manufacturer
Between Strike King and War Eagle you don't need any others lol

You think that's good, you should try a Cut'R worm. Love those things.

What is this bait?
Looks like a storm to me.

2017 Bassmaster Classic will be held in Houston, TX
It's gonna be held on Lake Conroe. Rick Clunn guided there for a long time. And I'm gonna call it already and say Keith Combs is gonna win the whole thing lol. Edit: my mistake this should have been in Tournament Talk.

I don't have that show on tv, is there a way to watch it on youtube or buy the previous seasons?

Fantasy!!! Bull Shoals
I did a lot of research yesterday. Bull Shoals and that area is deeper and has all three species of bass. It's relatively clear too. My thinking is that it'll set up really well for the west coast Cali guys. Justin Lucas was a natural addition to the team. Haven't quite decided on everybody else

My lineup was: Justin Lucas Matt Herren Randy Howell Bill Lowen Dave Lefebre Fantasy nuts: how've you been doing so far this season and what are you thinking for Bull Shoals? I'm just putting together my roster.

First tournament advice
Stay hydrated. Put your head down and fish. Don't waste time. Keep a line in the water at almost all times.

Still too danged COLD!

Spring spinnerbaiting: what are you throwing?
Another vote for the war eagle mouse. I also like any spinner from Strike king.

Painted Ned rig jigheads
I use GP and it doesn't make a difference in my mind. I'd have no problem using pink lol. Or unpainted.

Anyone know good storage for hooks?
If you want the best of the best, guys swear by those Bass Mafia Bait Coffins. I've tried and don't like the safety pin thing; just didn't like it. I keep them in a plano box personally.

Couple of PR's broken
27:50, but I was running uphill so it took longer. I'm kind of the opposite, although I'm turning into more of a long distance runner, I've been running miles for a while. It was a mental handicap that I had to break, because I've had the physical ability to do a 5k for probably the last year, but I never wanted to try and push myself really hard.
