  1. Throw those bad boys into the cover you've been texas-rigging into, and get ready to set the hook hard!
  2. Maybe that's a nest egg broken into . The way I would do it if I did big orders would just be to save up what I alot myself for spending until I had enough. I have an extreme dislike of any amount of debt.
  3. Two-handed casting improves my accuracy drastically. And plus, I have a split grip rod and it's harder to cast one-handed.
  4. Lesson learned. I never leave the house without pliers.
  5. I don't mind Black Racers so much, but a cottonmouth or copperhead............. Plus, I would have seen that as a violation of my fishing space, which doesn't go unpunished.
  6. Those are probably two of the best lures if you're only gonna have two tied on!
  7. Topwater: Hula Popper Hard bait: Super spot Soft plastic: Rage Craw, senko There is one lure that I can't seem to get any fish on, and that's a walk-the-dog lure. I have several original spooks and the Yamamato Pencil Tate, and throw them a lot just trying to get a fish on them, yet the best I've managed is one strike that didn't result in a hookup. The Berkley Havoc Devil Spear is a bait I haven't pegged a fish on yet......and buzzing frogs.
  8. x2 for topwater.
  9. Where did you hook her?
  10. I was being sarcastic
  11. RIP Bulls, my favorite team.
  12. A jig is hard, at least the jighead. That's my choice.
  13. For the same reason you might want to shoot one.
  14. Best story I've heard in a while. Well done. I too have watched every vid Fluke has put out. I'm a big fan. BR has been huge as well.
  15. Senkos, poppers, buzzbaits, and a spinnerbait or two might come in handy.
  16. Bass rarely nibble liplesses, my friend.
  17. Funny story. My brother and I w/ our family and friends were fishing a private pond......the owners pretty much used hotdogs to catch the fish. I wouldn't stoop to it, so I was over there throwing senkos and liplesses. Well, my little sister and her friend's little Barbie poles suddenly started doubling and twice a 5+ lb. bass broke their lines. My brother started fishing with hotdogs, and caught a 4# and a 5#, his PB. I will never, ever, let him forget or count that as a real catch. By the end of the day, they had caught 5-6 small catfish, a giant 17 lb. catfish, 8-9 nice bass, and lots of huge bream on those hotdogs. I finally gave in and caught a small bass on one towards the end of the day.....didn't count as real bass fishing to me, though.
  18. I just use a backpack with plano boxes.
  19. Any kind of weightless soft plastic rigged weedless with a T-rig should work just fine. Flukes are amazing baits for the top of vegetation, as are trick worms and senkos. Just remember to set the hook really hard. Have you tried spinnerbaits yet?
  20. I honestly don't know....I just want to fight one really bad.
  21. Finally, someone who smiles in their pics! Great fish.
  22. Swinging fish with drag low is not a good idea.
  23. Warning: Graphic content! lol those bites are nasty!
  24. There are carp in the ponds I fish ranging in my estimation up to 60 pounds. I've tried corn, bread, cherry tomatos, even snagging, and I can't catch one of the darn things.
