There's not really a need. People will keep it "pinned."

How Would You Fish Water Like This?
Loud lipless crankbaits, chatterbaits, dark soft plastics and jigs, maybe with rattles. I would use a red/orange or firetiger color crank.

What To Do In This Situation
If you had him hooked, it's unusual to have the same bass bite again.

Tried The Oh So Mighty Senko
Yum Dingers have consistently worked for me, better than the original GYCB senko.

Let's Talk Fantasy Lineup For Bassfest At Kentucky Lake
Good for you. I think there's a reason why there were the #1, especially if you look at the leaderboard right now. My guys aren't doing well, with the exception of Keith Combs and Brett Hite. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a top 50 for Brian Snowden, but Kevin Hawk and Kelly Jordan are having a BAD tournament. But hey, if Brett Hite could pull off a win, that would be awesome. I was confident from 3 weeks ago that he would get a top twelve, and it still looks that way.

He'd better, with all those Dream Strike Lake bass he wrangles.

Crankbait Hook Set?
I don't do a lot of crankbait fishing, but here's what I would recommend. I've heard a lot of people talk about this. Fight the bass halfway in to the boat, then stick your rod tip in the water and just hold the bass there. Don't let it jump, just put steady pressure on it. Let it tire itself out. You'll wear it out, and then when you reel it in to the boat, it will be a lot easier to land.

Dang, I was about to make that pun.

Most Productive Technique?......(For Numbers)
I've been testing out the shakeyhead, and it's produced some of my best numbers this year. I used to think it was only for deep water, but I'm catching fish on it sometimes in less than a foot of water. Otherwise, probably a 4-inch finesse worm or senko.

Favorite Top Water Frog?
I haven't caught a frog fish yet, but I'm trying as hard as I can. Been throwing them nonstop for the last 4-5 days when I can make it out. I like the *** because of the legs. Gives it so much lifelike action. I have two Spros, which are also good, but I prefer the ***. What's the matter with the word Lunker Hunt?

Wonderful Day!
Looks like you had a great time. Your ponds are so scenic! Just a suggestion. I would rather personally see more fish in a YouTube video than a couple/three fish in slow or slower motion, even if they were bigger. Just my two cents, for what they're worth. Doesn't it feel good to be done school? Those last few modules in Biology were pretty hard, SO glad I'm done.

Bass Fishing Noob Question
When I first started bass fishing, I tried to teach myself the improved clinch knot, but I didn't like the increased complexity of the double loop, so I just tied the Clinch Knot, and have been using it ever since. I use 10 pound mono on my spinning rod, and 12 pound mono on my baitcaster. I set the hook as hard as I can. That knot and line has stood up to some giant logs, a near 8-pound bass, catfish, you name it. I don't think you're doing anything wrong. Maybe Wisconsin Heat is correct and you have a chipped guide or something, because that shouldn't be happening.

Missed Hits On Frogs
I went to a new pond two days ago, and it was covered in slimy vegetation. I threw a frog on top of it and got over 8-9 hits. I am not a pro at frog hooksets, but I did wait and then rare back on several of them, no luck. They weren't even taking it under. I switched to a worm and caught three. They were very small bass, so I'm guessing that they weren't choking the bait. -Maybe you'd get a better hookup ratio on a trebled topwater -Try a trailer hook? Someone suggested I should try one, and I think it'll help my hookup ratio.

Elite Series Events
This next one at Kentucky Lake is a BASSFest, which is a little different than an Elite Event. There will be a lot more activities for you and your family. http://www.bassmaster.com/blog/ike-getting-ready-party http://www.bassmaster.com/blog/bassfest-bass-fishin-catfish-races-and-selfies

Creating Artificial Structure
