  2. idk lol but this is crazy. im dying to know...
  3. i guess so lol, cant wait to post the pic when i get home though.
  4. not a husky jerk, i have one and they aren't the same.
  5. nope, i was using that picture as refrence to the lip. its not jointed and its a gold minno type of color. 2 treble hooks. it may even be a discontinued lure for all i know. the guy that gave it to me was in his 30's. I'll post the picture asap, hopefully it helps.
  6. like many others have said, casting to targets like buckets in the yard. pitching, flipping, side arm, and many other casting techniques. I also read about fishing all the time, watch videos and really try to apply what i learn to my fishing.
  7. no but that is a small lip, the lip on the one I have is more like this http://www.rapala.com/rapala/lures/bxandtrade-swimmer/BX+Swimmer.html?start=10&cgid=rapala-lures but smaller and at a less extreme angle.
  8. nope, the lip on this rapala is even smaller than the one on the xrap. and yea I'm going to get a photo ASAP lol but until then I'm hoping someone finds out
  9. i know lol I should have took one of it but im at work now.
  10. I just got a bunch of lures from a guy at work and I was able to identify all but one, here are the characteristics. -RAPALA -JERKBAIT -3 inches -2 trebles -TINY TINY LIP/BILL -RATTLE THAT ROLLS FREELY FROM THE FRONT TO THE BACK OF THE LURE CAUSING WHATEVER SIDE ITS ON TO SINK WHILE THE OTHER SIDE FLOATS (nose down or nose up) I havent seen a jerkbait with a lip this small, and its not broken. I'm curious to know what it is, I hope this helps lol feel free to post photo's of what you think it could be.
  11. true^ and it works just fine haha.
  12. i hope you're right haha
  13. yea the rapala's i have are in good shape, the only lure with paint missing in some spots in my rebel floater jerkbait.
  14. maybe i'm overthinking it lol, idk if fish are that smart but hey. just incase.
  15. yea man i want to fish them, and they are made of plastic so rotting shouldn't be an issue. i was just wondering if a fish would turn it down due to some missing paint here or there. nothing too serious.
  16. i just got my hands on some old rebel and rapala lures, most of them had dirty bills and rusted hooks along with some worn paint here and there. I replaced the hooks and cleaned the bills (now they're crystal clear) and while looking at the ones with worn paint i came up with this question... to what point do you feel worn paint in some spots on something like a jerkbait/crankbait can affect it's fish catching capabilities?
  17. true, if a drop shot doesn't really tangle why should the double fluke if rigged with line tangle prevention in mind.
  18. lol then sliding swivel it is. i reallty dont wanna deal with tangle between casts.
  19. i'm going to give the "no swivels" method a try too haha
  20. I'm not a 3-way swivel kinda guy, too bulky. I'll use the smallest swivel possible if i can get away with it.
  21. this is also a good way to do it. I'll try both ways out and go with what works best for me.
  22. thats exactly how i was thinking to rig it. it makes sence to have the 2nd fluke on the same main line as the 1st. in the video i saw it rigged diffrently witch created a split where the two flukes hung freely, i dislike that way of rigging due to the tangle of the two lines. and I wouldn't say it's the incorrect way, just a diffrent way.
  23. great thanks man, i'll check that out.
  24. I watched the "how to fish a double fluke rig" video and was wondering how to actually rig it. and when fishing it do the two flukes often tangle?
  25. yea man, discontinued. i had to get one on outletbait&tackle.com and one on ebay. Bomber makes some of my favorite lures.
