Revo Stx Review And Opinions.
I own one and like it a lot. I've casted belly weighted paddle tails with weights as low as 3/16 oz. It casts those quite well.

Rod For Chatterbait Style Blades
What's your theory behind this if you don't mind me asking.

Shims/arbors
Same here on the graphite handle. I'm ordering all of my stuff Monday for my first build.

"macro" Guide Sizes
So whatever size I decide to use, I'll use for every guide including the tip?

What's Your Guys Favorite Lure, rig And Way To Fish
This would be my brother's favorite technique as well. That, casting at birds, and jumping off the boat to chase wild animals on the shore.

"macro" Guide Sizes
I like the idea of smaller guides, but I use a lot of leaders with braid, so I don't want to go micro. For a 7' MH what would be the sizes I need for a smaller guide setup? I want 9 guides plus the tip top. Also, do they make tip tops like this? What size would I need there?

Things I Like To Do With Hole In One Skirts
Im digging this. It needs a name. The wiggle jig aka wig jig or wig rig. Any takers?.. Yes?.. No?

Trying To Decipher
I definitely agree. I was referring to Loomis rods in my original post. Temple Fork Outfitters as well. I've read the same for north fork composites, but I won't know for sure till I build one, which will be soon.

Long Rods
Also there is the rod locker aspect. I don't think bass boats make a locker that long.

Long Rods
Give it another twenty years, and I bet we will be. At least, for deep water applications and what not.

Cover Your Bass
Steeper banks or bluffs are usually better for me if I approach them parallell or close to paralell. Points get approached from every angle.

I Lost My Tension Cap
I've had this happen to me before. Cost me about twelve bucks for my revo stx. I'd put some tape over it for now to make sure nothing gets in there.

Trying To Decipher
It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the action, just the tip. I've seen fast action medium heavy powered rods with "medium powered" tips. I've seen shakey head rods with stiff tips yet farther down the rod it had a lot of give.

Shims/arbors
Tape, polyurethane, or graphite. Which do you prefer and why?

Jig Or Texas Rig Craw?
You usually don't get as many bites with a jig compared to a Texas rigged small worm, but jigs usually will get a bigger bite.

Giving An Old Friend A Face Lift.
Not trying to hijack your thread, but I think this will answer both of our questions. Is this an efficient way to do this? Putting grips on from the butt? Just asking because I have a ton of blanks with the guides already wrapped and some of them would make good treble hook rods.

What's My Rod Good For?
That rod could be used for whatever technique you want as long as its more or less within the lure weight rating.

Kistler Klx Now Available At Tw.
As far as how they are made, they are both North Fork Composite blanks which were designed by Gary Loomis. The klx uses the intermediate modulus blanks and the helium 3 uses a hybrid between the high and intermediate modulus. The helium 3 also has a bit more in the cosmetic department. I didn't know this till recently, so I figured I'd share.

Chatter Baits
I make my own and like throwing them the most in water with some color and lots of shallow cover.

Color Preserver
I was just going to use it for trim bands and a little bit in the center of the wrap (whatever that is called). In think I'm going to use colorfast thread for my "main wrap" so I won't have to use color preserver at all.
