Also, if you're talking about the color, chartreuse pepper, It's not as vibrant as other chartreuse colors from what I remember, so I personally could see it being a good looking clear water bait.

I've seen people catch loads of smallmouths out of the crystal clear waters of the Buffalo National River with bright pink lizards, so I personally believe it doesn't matter. If they aren't hitting it in clear water just switch to something more natural.

I really only use my thumb in a few situations, skipping, casting in the wind, and if I spool too much line on. That's generally with the mag brake turned almost off along with only two centrifugal brakes on. I never use the mechanical brake it seems as well. This is for baits 3/8 oz and over however.

I threw 1/8 oz for a couple years on the Curado E series, so I assume the Curado I is no different. I like a 7' M fast action rod for that application as well.

Go by the lure weight rating on the rod. If you want to cast really light weights on a baitcaster, any of the 50 size shimanos are good. It helps if you state the range of weights you would like to throw though.

If you don't know how to walk a spook, I'd learn that first. It's easier and more forgiving as far as the walk the dog technique goes.

For a frog definitely use braid. It's really difficult and inconsistent when using anything else in my experience for the walking technique. I like a 7MHF with a soft tip in any situation that isn't super heavy cover. In heavier cover I would recommend using a longer stouter rod. Don't see how anyone on a bass boat could have limited vertical space though.

Depends on the bait more than anything for me. Throwing Hula grubs on an 1/8 oz jighead out of canoes all day means one handed casts. Anything heavier than a 1/4 oz or if I'm on the lake, gets a two handed cast.

A lizards a lizard, but if it gives you confidence to throw a certain brand or style then you will do better with that particular bait.

All of those will cast as far as you need them to. And then some.

Whenever I forget to oil my reels, I find my casting accuracy can get a bit off. A good clean reel does help with consistently being accurate.

You have to be at least touching the boat I believe. You ever seen that clip with Iaconelli where he breaks off on a bass and jumps in the water to grab the line? He had one hand on the boat while he was in the water. So I guess if they left a foot on the boat and one on the bank they could, but there might be a rule against bank fishing in general. I'm not sure.

Ole George Dickel. From what I remember when I tried it, it was some pretty good stuff. No go on the Evil Wevil. I have too many friends that are fat girls with their numbers in my phone to be drinking that stuff lol.

I've never fished Kentucky Lake, but it would work. Why wouldn't it? I'm sure more than one person is out there doing it.

It will probably help a little. A longer rod would definitely help though.
