  1. Really can't go wrong honestly. I like Daiwa and Lew's. A Type R or Tournament would serve you well.
  2. They make a PQ in a 4.9. That would be a good recommendation. Does the supreme come in a low gearing? I'd recommend the Supreme before the PQ, but id recommend a low gearing on either
  3. I like Xcalibur. They are hard to find, but they are definitely my favorite. They're are places where you can find them for a steal though if you do find them?
  4. I'm interested to here what your findings are after trying copoly instead of fluorocarbon.
  5. Saw these while I was at DSG yesterday picking up a Frisbee.. Looked interesting.. Very similar to the Tour Grade models. Lots of them have painted blades and they all came with trailer hooks.. Has anybody else seen these? Are they a DSG exclusive or something?
  6. Ok, thanks guys... I'll definitely check out the Virb. Thanks again! Any other Opinions appreciated!
  7. Is that an E-Motion? What are your thoughts on it?
  8. Seems like the Rover might be worth a try. The Biggie Smalls Spinnerbait and Squarebill look nice too.
  9. I would throw a black w/a Colorado blade due to low visibility? Maybe try night fishing? Check out the threads on it a few pages back.
  10. Well, I can't buy a Sparkle Perch colored trap anymore so what's the point. Its the only color of Bill Lewis I've ever fished. I've always gone with other baits for different finishes... No reason to buy from them anymore. Especially after they raised THEIR prices right after discontinuation of Sparkle Perch.
  11. I'm partial to the Xcaliburs. They run really good. As for gigglin' at a $12 lure. That's kinda pointless. I'm guessing that the guy fishing your lake with a $12 lure is beating the crap out of you when you fish with Bill Lewis Traps. I wouldn't fish Bill Lewis Traps after they discontinued my favorite color and raised their prices anyways. No reason for me to buy them anymore...

  13. Never used P Line since I'm a fan of Trilene and Sunline but here are some recent threads on it that may be good reading. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/157895-p-line-or-hi-seas-grand-slam/page-1 http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/157274-p-line-cx-vs-floroclear/?view=getnewpost
  14. Brett Hite fishes Chatterbaitd on glass rods, but not do the vibration dampens, but rather for a good hookset.
  15. Red Dirt is good stuff. Made right here in Indiana too. Give Throw'n Thunder a try sometime.
  16. If you are breaking off 3 pound fish in little to no cover with 8lb line it is user error.. Period. If you think you are getting "bit off" by toothy fish, braid wont help. You need fluorocarbon. Braid will not be very abrasion resistant against toothy predators.
  17. Beat the bank with a spinnerbait.
  18. That's funny, it seemed lighter than the raring to me, but then my only other MH rod is stiff as all get out!
  19. Seems like a nifty little tool. Reasonably priced as well. How bright would you say it is in pitch black conditions?
  20. How does the stick go through the back of the yak? A scupper hole?
  21. Images added to a gallery album owned by HoosierHawgs in Fishing Albums
    All pics uploaded to forums.
  22. Proud Owner of a used BPS Extreme. Its an older model, but will work great for my purposes. Also only $40. 6'6" Medium Heavy. Feels like a moderate action to me. Gonna be put to use fishing Squarebills. Photos: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/gallery/album/1737-jakob1010-pics/
  23. What are you gonna use it for?
  24. Searched but couldn't find anything on it. What reel oil/lube do you guys use? I've always used just a drop of gun oil on the spool...
