Trying To Turn Things Around
Good for you! Many people are victims of circumstance. They 'victimize' themselves, and refuse to take responsibility for what the need to do. By taking responsibility you are breaking the cycle and that can lead to something great. Good luck and God bless

Your Favorite Sqaurebill Setup?
The post "Crankbaits Tiring" and "Sqaurebills and Losing Fish" got me thinking. I fish Squarebills on a typical cranking outfit a medium rod and a low gear reel, but others seem to fish them differently... What is your favorite squarebill setup? Rod Reel Line Bait Replacement Hooks?

Texas Flooding
I don't know much, but the damage looks bad. Be safe.

I'm pretty sure as long as your not purposely an ass to the bass they will be fine. Every once in a while one gets gut hooked and you try to save him, but you can't. It happens. Just take precautions and do what you can, but don't freak out about it. Maybe new tourney rules like MLF?

First Time With A Baitcaster
My dad gave me my first baitcaster (ironically his first baitcaster) 4 years ago. Now I own 6. Go figure!

Pegging Weights
You can also use a piece of nylon mono to jam a rubber band into the weight in a pinch and it wont cut your line. Take the nylon, thread it through and make a loop, then put a 1/4 piece of rubber band between the loop and pull snug. Good to go!

Smart. Its a good way to pick up stomach irritating bacteria- Gander Mt Fluorocarbon
Ohhhhhh!!! I understand. I'd rather it be a tad thinner, but no biggie. I still fully intend to try FC Sniper. Have heard good things about it.- Berkely Lightning Rod Shock Series Trigger Rod?
I bought a 7' used for 25 bones. Haven't been using it long but it was a great deal.- Gander Mt Fluorocarbon
Threw a 10 inch Texas rigged black/blue worm with 3/8th ounce weight on it today. Casting was better than expected. Abrasion resistance was much better than 12# XL. In terms of sensitivity, I'm not sure yet. Didn't have any problem with knot strength after a few fish. I'm going to get some 1/4 oz tungsten to see if it helps my worm fall slower so I can increases my catches. I'll keep updared- Gander Mt Fluorocarbon
It did look a little thick, but I gave it some practice cast in the yard and it seemed just fine. Came off evenly, it did not spring off the reel. I can't afford Tatsu, and really was looking to buy FC Sniper, but they didn't have any in store. I needed something I'm a pinch so I bought. I will definitely be sure to buy Sniper and try it, but on sale at 14.99 for 400 yards I can respool multiple times if needed, and I doubt I'll be too disappointed in ots performance.- Spinnerbait Selection
Its dynamite for me. Caught numbers and size. My personal best before my best now was on one of those baits.- Gander Mt Fluorocarbon
I didn't even think about conditioner! I forgot to pick some up... O can't reealy seem to find it locally As for who makes it, its Sunline. The guy I talked to seemed like the only guy who WASN'T a dummy in the store. The only reason I go in there is to look at their branded stuff because its a pretty good deal most of the time, otherwise, I prefer local places where people are actually knowledgeable. It seems like a great product for the price, its just different than anything I've used before (I'm new to fluorocarbon). I will run it back out and give it a good respool and some conditioner if I can find some around here. If not I may have to order some online. Thanks for the advice! P.S. I will definitely be out fishing it all weekend since they don't even show us the 500 live! (Ugggghhh!)- Gander Mt Fluorocarbon
- Gander Mt Fluorocarbon
Went in and bought a 400 yard spool of Gander Mt Fluorocarbon 15 lb test today. Spooked it up on my new (to me) Pflueger Supreme XT (Thanks Stu!). Seemed a little wirey, but that's coming from a guy who's used nothing but 12 lb Trilene XL the last 12 years. I made sure to be careful in spooling it and tying my knots. Hopefully I can get used to the stiffness. Its also right at the 'correct' diameter of .015 inches. I'll fish it this weekend and report back with my findings.- Yamamoto Hard Bait`s.
- Where Do You Draw The Line?
All right, lets not get this thread locked down boys! Believe what you want to believe. My mother always told me to worry about myself and what I do, not others.- Spinnerbait Selection
Also like War Eagle. My go to in every condition is the Mike McClelland finesse model in whitw/chartreuse- Where Do You Draw The Line?
Based on past experiences in those conditions! That's why we keep logs! The ahhh moment now appears.- Where Do You Draw The Line?
I would say you should use past experience and history as a starting point, and go from there based on what current things are telling you. My 2 cents. As for as the OP question goes, I don't have the knowledge or experience to answer it... Sorry - Mistreatment Of Bass By Professionals
