Prepping for this season
How'd you get that?

Bladed Jigs
5 bites is all you need as long as they are the right bites! How were you fishing it?

Going Absolutely Crazy!!!
Around here, I'm thinking possible soft water on the lake next week. There is soft water on the creek, but I'm going to need to scrape up enough money to get some waders so I don't get frostbite or hypothermia trying to get out of the house. Should be going skiing as well on President's Day Weekend.

Light waves underwater
Saw an old video of Jimmy Houston using the Color C-Lector from the 80's and couldn't help but think of this thread.

Max casting distance of average joe???
I'm sorry, but this is a very naive statement. Maximum casting distance does play a factor in bass fishing, with how deep a bait runs, how long it is in the strike zone, and how much water you cover, and countless other reason.. It also matters if you are fishing from the bank, or the back of the boat, or if you can't position the boat the way you truly want to for x reason. Casting distance is important in bass fishing.

How Much Snow You Have?
I don't even charge a standard fee. Sometimes I get 5, other times, the older guy really likes ya and gives ya 50. Mostly the latter, and then you really win.

I`m a no good tax evader going to jail
My dad works for Microsoft so he plays with them and ask what their ID number is and has a grand ole time telling them they aren't on the Microsoft employee look up.

How Much Snow You Have?
Ice is no joke. I had a close call with some last week. As for Indy, we've got nothing to show for this. Too bad, I was hoping to shoveling driveways. Make some extra $$

Where do you need to improve ?
Fixed that for ya.

(Un)official Hoosiers Thread
Usually in the winter I spend time skiing. Not much for ice fishing, not that there are any great waters for it anyways. If I had a private pond that I managed though I would definitely be ice fishing on it! Awesome, we're glad to have you!

Good to hear from you again! Haven't seen much of you on these boards recently, you're also on Indiana Angler, right? I remember seeing some post from you there.

(Un)official Hoosiers Thread
Those first two are part of my goals for the year too! We'll see if it happens, but I'd most certainly like some vessel to get out on the water!

Where do you need to improve ?
A tip for #3: When your Square Bill bite dies, tie on a lipless bait, and then fish it in the same places, bumping it against the same cover as you were with the Square Bill, and see if you can't pick up a few extra bites. Seems to work pretty good from me. As for what I need to improve on, I would like to learn how to read a sonar. I have always fished from the bank and have never needed one, but I am hopefully going to get into a kayak, canoe, or small aluminum water going vessel very soon, and I would think it would be useful to spend some time learning how to use electronics effectively. I also will be looking to work on my 10'+ fishing skills. Fishing from the bank, I don't have much experience fishing water over 10'.

Drop shotting
There was a 25th anniversary article about them in a recent In-Fisherman. Seems like they would be a good lure to try, as most of the waters I fish are a shad based ecosystem.

Becoming a bass guide: getting started
I'd love to have a career in the fishing industry, but I can surely say it wouldn't be guiding. Not my cup of tea!

Bassmaster Academy Worth The Price?
My problem is I won't make time to watch them. I'll find some time to read In-Fisherman,even if its a month or two behind.
