  1. Somebody dug out this thread. I'm subscribing tonight or never. Its 8 bucks. Ita between the videos or a year of In-Fisherman.
  2. This brings back some memories. Big fan of eating at Whitey's, still do. Just don't drink the water, taste like it comes straight from the John's. Been by doctors lake once or twice. My parents both grew up in Orange Park, mom went to Ed White High School if anyone knows where that is. My great uncle and grandpoo also went to high school with the VanZant brothers. Good times, good times.
  3. I just figure buy what works for a good price. That's why I've mostly stuck with Trilene for everything that's not contact or frogs. So I think I will go ahead and give the AN40 a try especially for the price.
  4. I did pull the trigger on them last night. We shall see how they work out. I figured for 30 bones they couldn't be too bad, especially with that lifetime warranty!
  5. $1.50 a gallon here. I'm loving this. Now I don't have to spend a half a weeks wages for a tank of gas. And I only ever fill up every 3 weeks
  6. The new Yum price point is great. I wasn't a big Yum fan until they went to the $2.99 for everything after they discontinued the F2 scent
  7. That sucks, must be the last batch at the Gander Mt. then. I really like the Big Bite Baits they save me a lot of money buy being very inexpensive. They are supple as any other good plastic on the market, so they aren't amazingly durable, but I'm not as worried about durability when I am paying for 1/3 of the price for a bait that has an action that is just as good!
  8. Big Bite Baits makes a similar bait for 1/2 the price of the Yamamoto.
  9. I like them a lot. I only buy them when they are on sale though.
  10. You guys are really going out and crackin' 'em! Nice work!
  11. Nice fish! The face you make when you catch a new Personal Best is the best part!
  12. Mentioned this in another thread but I also find the FLW web series FLW Circuit Breaker to be very entertaining. While it isn't extremely informative into actual fishing it is a very interesting and fun look at how professional tournament fishing really works and the lives of those who are professional bass guys. I highly recommend it. This season is covering the 2015 season of Mark Daniels Jr, a 2nd year FLW tour pro.
  13. I have a model that is also close to being a Decade old. Got it for 40 bones used. Great deal.
  14. Yep, looks like they decided to bring back the Bantam name... Nice little marketing ploy
  15. Right. Different strokes for different folks. I would also use a lot of lipless in that situation. Whenever the wide wobble action of a SB stops producing, i go to the lipless and get a few more strikes.
  16. I buy every one of them I see that isn't in the Real Craw patterns.
  17. The Yamamoto 100 size bait I would consider it a Square Bill bait.
  18. Do you have any pictures of these other projects?
  19. Another good show that is entertaining, and an interesting look at the tournament fishing game is FLW's web show FLW Circuit Breaker. This season has covered 2nd year tour pro Mark Daniels Jr.
  20. They were an especially good deal when they were 5 bucks a pop during the 25 days sale.
  21. No, I would say that is probably be a good depth of bait. No need to crank it down to max depth though.
  22. I'm fairly certain they announced that the Alton Jones Xcalibur XCS Square Lip baits would not be moved to the Booyah line. I may be wrong though. As for square bill baits in general it is really hard to go wrong. I'm going to give a shameless plug for the Bait Monkey and say that you should try them all. I originally was not a very confident crankbait fisherman but now that I know what style of lip does what and what the size and shape of the body along with hooks and rattles do to effect the action I'm the proud owner of 30+ square bill baits of almost every make and manufacture. They each have their time in the sun.
  23. 6 lb 10 oz Large Mouth on an Xcalibur XCS300 Square Lip. It was the biggest square bill I had in my box, but now I have a couple of SK 8.0's to hopefully get some even bigger bites.
