Best Mono for Texas Rig
I've been using 15-pound Trilene Big Game for my 1/8-ounce Texas Rigs. I fish around trees and pretty heavy cover, and when I set the hook, I set hard. I only like using mono; I hate braid. The only problem is my Trilene keeps getting very frayed and breaks on me. So, I'm looking to buy some bulk 20-pound mono for my Medium Heavy Texas rig rod. My question is what brand of 20-pound bulk monofilament should I buy. I want a strong line that holds up to the abrasion around the trees. Thanks!

Monofilament Vs Copoly
What are some of the advantages of Copolymer over Monofilament? Out of these 2 lines, which one would you use for Jigs and T rigs?

Is Punching Lilly Pads A Technique
I have lilly pads on my river body and I have caught frog bass over them so I know there is some bass that holds in pads. However, I am really starting to get into punching and would like to punch these with worms and 1 ounce weights. Is punching lilly pads a good technique? Have you done it with good success?

Pitching And Flipping Help Needed
I have never been pitching and flipping before but I'm eager to learn and I'm going this week. What are some key things to remember as far as line set up? I will be pitching extremely heavy cover, canes and wood, with a 1/2 oz weight. I have 30lb mono. Will that work?

Frog Rod
I am looking for a rod around $100. I fish around wood and grass and want something around a MH but want a rod that is labeled as a frog Rod. Thanks.

Bad Frog Experience Please Help
Today, I had 30 blowups on my tiny toad, h20 xpress 3/8oz hollow body frog in black color. However, I didn't hook even one of them! It was so frustrating. I got bites around wood and pads and could not hook the fish. Frustrating! My set up was a MH 7ft 6inch St Croix Rod with Abu Garcia Reel and 15lb Trilene Big Game Monofilament. I even gave the fish a second or 2 before I set the hook. The fish were plenty big enough too to eat the frog. Any ideas as to what could be going wrong?

Reel For Frogging
I need a reel for frogging. In this reel, I want it to be able to cast a mile with 30-50lb braid on there. That's the main thing I am looking for. Any recommendations around the $100 range?

Seaguar Flippin' Braid
This is new line on the market, anyone ever use it? I am planning on using it for my frogs since it's black. Does anyone else know of any black-colored braid on the market? I am worried about the fish seeing my green braid and really want black braid.

Is This Line Too Heavy To Flip With
I am going punching soon in some thick grass. I am using a 7-6 flipping sick Heavy. I have some 30lb monofilament. Would this be too heavy to put on my low-profile Abu Garcia Revo reel? I don't like braid or Flurocarbon.

Line Color Fish See It?
Hi, I just picked up a 900yd spool of 15lb Steel Blue Trilene Big Game Monofilament yesterday for my Texas Rig worms in 1-10ft of water. My question is can the fish see the "blue tint color" in this situation? My water clarity is around 2-3ft of visibility. Thanks!

Duce Rods
Anyone ever used these rods?

Bullbuster Monofilament
Anyone ever use this monofilament? How does the 15lb handle on baitcasters? I am looking to use it for my Texas-Rigs.

Trilene Big Game
I have never used this line. I am thinking of getting some in 15lb and using it for my 1/8oz and heavier Texas-rigged plastic worms. How does this line cast on a baitcaster? How is the strength? Thanks!

Monofilament Snapping Around Rocks
I fished around rocks the other day with weightless worms using a M power rod and 12lb Seauguar Senshi Monofilament. I broke off at least 5 fish on the hook set, so I need heavier line. The line was extremely frayed as well. How heavy of monofilament should I use? Many disadvantages with heavier monofilament? Don't recommend Fluro or Braid, I don't like either of them.

Frog Setup
I am looking to buy a frog setup just for fishing frogs. I fish a lot of small hollow body frogs, like Booyah Pad Crasher JR. Those weight about a 1/4oz. I fish a lot of heavy cover weeds in the frog, but occasional fish open water and wood. The bass I catch average about a pound, hence the small frog. This being the case, what rod, reel, and line setup do we need.

Leader With Frog
Do I need a leader when Frog Fishing? Can the fish see 50lb green braid? My water is 4ft visibity at most. Thanks.

Frog
I am looking for a small frog. I can't find a company that makes a small hollow body frog. I mean I need one much much smaller than like a spro 65 bronzeye. Any suggestions? Thanks

Mono Vs Copoly Sensitivity
Which line is more sensitive: 15lb Big Game or Yo Zuri Hybrid 15lb?

Most Sensitive Mh Fast Action Rod
I fish monofilament exclusively. I really hate rod wraps of the braid, and the no slack line sensitivity I get. Also, I hate having to tie on leaders as well as the high cost. I also hate the high cost of braid and fluorocarbon. That being said, I fish nothing but 15lb Trilene Big Game Monofilament. I am looking for the most sensitive MH rod for my worm fishing that makes up for the un-sensitive monofilament. Thanks in advance!

Need Help With Frog Hook-Ups
I have picked out my frog, know where I am fishing, and know what gear I am using. I am using a h20 xpress frog and have 40lb braid with a 7.3 MH Baitcasting rod. Now, how do you get more hook ups with frogs? I have heard you get a lot of misses with frogs. Is this correct? Is there ways to prevent the misses?

Highly Abrasion Resistant Mono
I fish in super rough wood that scrapes line badly. Would 20lb Trilene XT work for my worm fishing in 1-10ft of water on a baitcaster or would that be too stiff?
-
Trilene Big Game
How is the sensitivity of this line? I am used to fishing a worm in 10 ft of water with Flurocarbon Stren 100%. 15lb. Would this line be noticeablely less sensitive if I got 15lb Big Game?

Disapointing Line Break
I was fishing today, and I set the hook and right after I set the hook, my 15lb SpiderWire UltraCast Flurocarbon broke. I swing as hard as I can to try to punch the hook through that bass, but when the line breaks, it is heart-breaking. My question is, can I go up to a heavier Flurocarbon without having memory issues? I was hoping to get away with 15lb, but breaking off one time for me is one time too many. I need to be able to trust my fishing line. I am fishing a Texas Rig Worm on MH rod by the way.

Am I Going Too Simple?
I fish the Tchefuncte River which is a lot of wood on the bank and the fish are always close to the bank. My tackle box consists of 1 pack of 3/0 EWG hooks, 1 pack of watermelon trick worms for clear water, 1 pack of Red Shad ribbon tail worms for stained water, 1 bag of 1/4 oz tungsten sinkers. I feel as if a bass will never turn down a slender, tantalizing worm. Is this too simple though? Am I missing out on fish that may hit something else or does a Texas Rig worm always get the most fish? Thanks!!
