  1. I'm sick of people saying this. If you have nothing good to say, don't say it at all. That has nothing to do with the topic I posted. So you shouldn't have even responded.
  2. I don't have big bass in my area. Can I fish a Drop Shot with an ultralight with 6lb test mono? Thanks
  3. Thank you!!!!! At least someone is with me on this!!
  4. It's stronger and way more sensitive. I find it hard to fish without braid on anything. And if you are worried about the fish seeing the line a 5 foot flurocarbon leader will take care of that.
  5. I spend a lot on hooks
  6. Use a fluke
  7. I don't think you would sacrifice anything
  8. Use 30lb braid
  9. Throw a Drop Shot with a Mustad hook. If the fish breathes on it, you'll hook em!
  10. Which ones do you guys like and why? Also, do they make a weedless Drop Shot hook?
  11. What are they? Im looking for something small with lots of action.

Will Dropshot rig catch more fish on those post front, high pressure days vs a moving bait?
  13. I am not working for Mustad nor sponsored by them. I just love there hooks.
  14. I love Flukes. The White Ice color seems to work best for me. They catch tons and tons of bass. I also rig them weightless but the hook, well I'm still trying to figure that out. I've really had trouble hooking up with EWG style.
  15. No it's the regular fluke just smaller
  16. Thanks that really helps. I've had trouble with ewg
  17. They don't float. I like to rig them with a 5/0 offset hook and Texas rig them weightless. You'll catch a ton of bass on it, particularly in clean water. Fish them with a twitch twitch then let it fall. Bass crush them.

I think we can all agree that Mustad has the best hooks. They're hooks that are sticky sharp, have long-lasting points, and are super strong. The hook-up ratio is phenomenal with these hooks. It's plain and simple, you just don't loose fish like you do with other brands. I mean heck, KVD uses them!
  19. I've been using this brand for a while now on my bass spinning gear as well as my ultralight and it is the best stuff out there! I guarantee you you will not find a better monofilament line. It's super limp, strong and easy to cast. No other monofilament compares. Best stuff without question!
  20. Does this stuff really make your line more limp? I'm spooling 6lb mono on my ultralight
  21. I was Crappie fishing today with minnows under a cork. I was throwing right up against Cypress Trees. All of a sudden, I got bit by something a little bit bigger than a crappie. Reeled it in and it was a 2lb bass! Pretty surprised that size bass ate that little Minnow. In addition, it was quite a fight on my ultralight spooled with 6lb monofilament!
