This is so true. Seems like its now some kind of competition to see how much stuff you can bring. I for one think that's a bad idea just the the guy above!

How Much Do You Spend On Average A Year On Fishing ?
Wow the level's here are all over the map. I am in the I don't want to know camp as I bought a certate and a steez in the same month and that was not the worst. Us enthuseists just don't add it up because the thought might scare us!

Drop Shot Bait
I have not had a bunch of luck on robos. I seem to do the best on the 2.75" tubes from dry creak. The small trick worms are good to.
-
Treble Hooks
Use normal length round bend on jerk baits. I use short shank on square bills the rest is dependant on cover.

Bass But No Shad
I am in the same position but I dont have electronics. The bass here eat trout and bluegill and perch. They seem to be a lot more nomadic and hold in deep pieces of structure. The bottom of local lakes are all bowl shaped and covered in weeds. If you figure it out let me know, as I am having a hard time as well.

I Am Ready To Buy 2-3 High Dollar Swimbaits...looking For Some Advice..
Matt Allen does a good overall review on swimbaits, and he has my respect. The hard gills from mattlures is one of the best but hard to find. If your winter fishing a hudd is the best you can get. I use 6" but a lot of guys like the 8. A ms slammer is one of the must haves. Those three is where I have spent my money first and would do it again.

Cork Handles
I have not had it happen to me but I have seen pics. Prevented me from trying it myself, and the other methods have worked for me.

Question About New Rod?
Fenwick is making species rods to draw attention to there product. Large mouth crank in just fine on the small mouth series. I don't believe its a special taper.

Need Reviews On Hedgehog And Boca Tools
I am a tool and fishing nut. I use and like the hedgehog tool but it is not a shop level tool. For regular writer cleaning on a dozen or so reels it will last years.

Cork Handles
The magic erasers are the best. Steel wool will leave small metal shards and then rust stains. Very fine sand paper works but get aggressive and you will change the shape.

Precision Needle Oil Pens?
I use the Boca oil and it comes in a nice applicator. The have it at TW.

Green Pumpkin Vs. Watermelon Red
For me it's a water clarity thing. The more clear water calls for melon

Picked Up A New Toy......
Saw on TT that you dislike the 103. I have 100's and want to roll a 103 spool for a bit to compare to the new sv spools. The 103 is supposed to be a love hate thing.

Missing A Micro Guide Insert....think I'll Be Good??
Yes. Watch the video's on mudhole

Picked Up A New Toy......
Don't think a bearing swap is going to do much for you. A faster spool like the steez 103 will do the most for piching. I love my steez reels!!!

Blanks
The mhx blanks are good, and I like the orange lamiglas excel blanks

Everything About Finesse Fishing
I like this as well as the Serbert shakey heads. I use zoom trick worms and baby brush hawgs
-
Second Life Rod
Be very careful with chemicals as you can damage the blank. I would use warm water and a hard tooth brush.

Maybe I Am Adding It Wrong? Wheres The Savings!?
- Lessons Learned
Amen. How about some advice that does not include shad!- Any Advice On Storing A Kayak With An Apartment
Your appartment rules may limit choices but anything in the overhead will help a lot. One thing to remmeber is that you need to have a broad holding system. hanging the entire weight on two points/straps may cause sagging or deformation of your yak. I got some eyes from harbor freght and make a tarp to support a large portion of the bottom while hanging it from the celing. I did this in my garage so i dont know if you have a place inside your appartment to do this or not. - Lessons Learned
