  1. War baits makes some mean heads. The hook is very stout and they were originaly made for salt water. If your looking for big fish these will be ready for anything you throw at them. http://www.warbaits.com/HQ.html http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Warbaits_Swimjigs/descpage-WBSSJ.html I have the swim jigs and a few of the regular heads I bought on line...
  2. I gave them the look and that F3 spinning rod might be in the stable soon enough. It looks like they are using taller small guides like i want, which means i can give these a try vise a custom...
  3. i use a weedless swimbait like a bastrix with an internal hook. Just a small slap and its clean again and ready to throw

  5. I have a nucanoe and they are a great boat. I have not hunted out of mine but they have a blind ready made that you can get from them. I stand and frog fish from mine and have never fell in the water yet fingers crossed. http://www.nucanoe.com/hunting/
  6. Thanks for the site I think I will find what I need here. I am ordering a type r which is silver and should look ok with the standard ai frame. I am also going to grab a black sv side plate in black go with the painted aI...
  7. The AI side plate is only available threw ITO and I believe is out of stock for ever. I was looking for the new SV cover to put on the AI because it was already black and would match.
  8. I have that as a last ditch effort, one of the two I have is already painted black so it would go directly on. I have considered painting the other orange like the sol and using a sol side plate.
  9. I have two alphas ITO's the the side cover is now toast. I use the left handed version and the numbers I have are from a JDM model and I don't know if daiwa USA will provide parts?
  10. st Croix avid 7mf with a hedgehog alphas because it comes with two spools. bait one kvd 1.5 bluegill, bait two green pumpkin trick worm, third duo pencil 110.
  11. Hay we encourage people to use the search function and if it helps provide all the background so someone can ask a specific question then power to them. If it was not useful all history over a year old would be deleted. I would recommend you use the owner beast hook on the 4.8. For some reason it makes the bait last several bass vise just one that I was getting using the regular twist-lock hook.
  12. Pro your in Texas and the bbq is amazing. Pro its already warm and you can get a break from the cold north...

It is indeed an owner weighted twist lock hook. If your looking for more i would recommend looking at the beast version. For some odd reason i get a lot more life out of my soft swim-baits like the keitech with the beast version.
  14. I would be looking for an asm battery. How long do you need to go??? Your usage amperage and time are the critical two components. I use the calculator to figure out how much i need. https://www.batterystuff.com/kb/tools/calculator-for-load-specific-run-time.html Are you also running a sounder??? I think you will be in the 27 group minimum. A true deep cycle will give you the best service and last the longest. Just tried to locate you a battery at bps but they rate their deep cycles in CCA which is stupid because you dont use a deep cycle for starting battery.
  15. I have yet to get bit on mine but i will give it due process. a belly hook will only increase damage to the bass when fished with the correct rod the jig hook is all you need...
  16. I am big on the idea of the X27 guide train just looking for the money to try one out
  17. I just let it fade and let it look like the stalk of the pad that i am fishing
  18. When you are using a light or medium light rod and need the sensitivity on the rod that does not have a lot of power. I like a Xfast when i am fishing light flouro and the rod does not need to provide the give because the line is already providing the give.
  19. i am trying to consider your question and looking for cash value or cost to install????? My one suggestion would be to mount the 9 up front and the 7 at the console. The ability to see while standing is a lot more than while seated at the console. Did you get the networkable units????
  20. You may want to check out the nucanoe. I have the original but the way it can be reconfigured and the openness is wonderful. My one ***** is no way to mount a threw hull sounder but i am working on a transom mount. There are many versions and they are cheaper than hobbie but very open and stable. I frog fish while standing up and i am 6'5" and 210.
  21. The problem with dealing local is availibility. Trojan or interstate are the two that I trust and I can't find them local. Quality products I am willing to go out of my way to find and obtain. Batteries will not be dead all at once unless your prepping for spring and they should be checked over the winter to protect your investment as good ones are not cheap. As an aside I am looking at MK battery's because they are made in the usa. I will not recommend them yet because I have no experience with them.
  22. Where is the why. People say the don't like something and leave out the most inportant part. I like 832 it handles well for me and I have never broken off. It ties knots much better when used a little
  23. Boca lightning oil and daiwa space age grease. Both come in handy aplicators.
