  1. I just got my first lews which is also a Tournament Pro G. I love it so far. It's the only lews I have tried, but I picked it up for $155 at American Legacy Fishing club.
  2. I use this as well. It works great.
  3. I fished with it a little bit yesterday. It's definitely on the stiffer side for sure. There are definitely a lot softer mediums out there. I wouldnt personally use it for jerkbaits, just mainly plastics and jigs. I didn't try to cast a weightless fluke but I'm sure it won't do it as well as a softer medium.
  4. Like Raul said you can pretty easily.
  5. I think you will like it. It seems really well built and designed. I'm going to go down to a pond today to try my luck. If you have any other questions on it, feel free to message me.
  6. I just recieved my Medium casting model today. I agree with Paul. It feels stiff for a medium. I have a medium power veritas and Carbonlite. I'd say it's definitely got more power than the Carbonlite but not quite as much as the veritas. I tied on a 3/8 ounce jig and tried it out on the lawn today. I really like it and will definitely order more in the future.
  7. American legacy fishing club has them for 180 if I remember right.
  8. I wish I could laugh but it's so true
  9. I only have one in ghost gill. It's worked pretty well so far.
  10. Agreed. I ordered an alphas sv from them. I ordered it on a Monday and got it on Friday. I will definitely order more from them.
  11. I was going to pair it with my new alphas. I'm pretty excited to try it out. That's good news, because I flew to Washington last year and had to send my rods in the mail while filling my suitcase with tackle. I hate mailing rods.
  12. I'm sure you will get lots of different answers, but I tie the leader and reel up to where the knot is somewhere between the first eye and the reel. I then tie on what I'm using so when I go to cast, the knot is right between the two. I use anywhere from 14-20 lb leader on my casting setups and 6-10 lb on my spinning. It depends on cover and water clarity. Hopefully that helps.
  13. Thank you! None of the sporting goods stores around here carry any daiwa rods so I can't look at it. I'm gonna order a casting one next week. My girlfriend and I are gonna try our luck in Southern Utah the second week of March. Maybe I will try to do some type of review if i can catch anything. Thanks for the help.
  14. Yeah I read that. I just wanted some input from people on here if there was any. I guess I will just have to buy one and see.
  15. I'm looking at buying one of these rods to use when I travel. I found a thread on them from about a year ago but there wasn't much information from people that used them. Has anybody on here used these? If so, how did you like it? I saw a few good reviews but was curious if anyone on here had some input. I'm looking at the medium power, casting version by the way. Thanks.
  16. Another vote for the Tatula. Under 100 new.
  17. I also just ordered a tournament pro g. I'm curious how well I will like it. It's my first reel that's not a Shimano or daiwa.
  18. It sounds like it's going to be another jerkbait. https://youtu.be/KxIfQJMwdgI
  19. I bought some for the first time last year. They worked well on a jig head for smallmouth as well as being flipped into weeds for largemouth. I'm sold.
  20. I used them for the first time this year. My girlfriend had good success on a 7' medium power, fast action BPS Carbonlite. I used a 6' 10" medium heavy power, fast action Shimano Clarus. Both worked pretty well.
  21. I remember reading an article from Mike Iaconelli on Bassmaster talking about how using the Ned rig saved one of his tournament days this season. I will have to find it. Anyways I feel for me I am going to choose something that I have fished for a long time and feel is going to give me the best odds. Maybe they just haven't used the Ned rig enough to gain some confidence in it. Instead they use something that has produced for them for a long time.
  22. Another vote for the shad rap. I also like the dt6.
  23. I really wasn't to happy to move. I fished up in Southern Idaho pretty much all summer. It was great. I'm going to have try some of the lakes around here now. Do you fish Pineview much? It seems there is very little shore access. At least on the west side. I haven't been on the east side.
  24. I know this is old, but I just moved to Layton from Logan. Let me know if you want to meet up after it thaws out.
  25. I can't comment on the other two because I haven't tried them. I really like my curados though. I think you will be happy with any of them.
