  1. I was looking through the latest Bass Pro fishing catalog and noticed on page 492 there is an add for Tracker Boat Centers. It shows a blue star in the Northern Utah area saying there is a future Bass Pro location. I can't seem to find any information on this at all besides rumors from years ago. Anybody have any info on this?
  2. Maybe I missed it but I didn see anyone mention the xcalibur xr50 lipless cranks. Definitely one of my favorite.
  3. I've got a shimano clarus, carbonlite and veritas and Iike all of them. I picked them all up on sale. There might be some still around going for cheap.
  4. Got a tatula type R and a medium action carbonlite.
  5. I like the megastrike heads as well. I have also had good luck with the picasso shakedown heads
  6. I didn't see anyone mention roboworms. I use those a lot. They are just a pain to thread on depending on what shaky head ya got though.
  7. I am the same way. I don't even buy a Utah license anymore unless I'm going to Sand Hollow or Lake Powell. I used to fish Mantua and Hyrum but your constantly fighting people. I just pay the 90+ dollars and drive to Idaho to go. Most the time I have the whole lake to myself.
  8. I have ran 3-D printers before. I haven't used the new ones much but the older ones were super slow as well. And like someone else mentioned they didn't like us printing a whole lot because of cost.
  9. 50 lb green power pro on my setup and put 10 lb yellow power pro on my girlfriends spinning setup. It's helped her get better with line watching. I wanna try suffix though.
  10. I didn't I just thought it was funny. Sorry I have a more relevant one. I was musky fishing with my friend and we were standing 10 feet apart. Then some random guy comes and starts fishing right inbetween us, and his friends go on either side of us when the entire lake was open.
  11. I really like their lipless cranks. Caught a lot on them this fall. They have really good paint as well and held up to a lot of fish without chipping.
  12. Just got two carbonlites and got a veritas winch.
  13. I have a digital aquarium thermometer I got from Petco that I keep in my tackle bag. Works great.
  14. I use a uni to uni. It's held up really good to everything I have come across. I've tried others but I always seem to forget how to tie them and just end up using the uni to uni. I also add a little glue after i get it really tight
  15. Thanks everyone that gives me some more things to try. I appreciate it.
  16. I'm not sure what kind of weeds I keep telling myself to take a picture of them but I forget. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I picked up some booyah frogs. I really wanna punch here I'm trying to finish getting a few more setups. One weird thing I tried that work was flipping a light megastrike shaky head. It actually worked decent but still tons of weeds. Also haven't ever fished a cavitron. Are they that much better than other buzzbaits?
  17. I've fished a lake here pretty much all summer with my girlfriend. We are usually the only people fishing the whole lake and I'm pretty sure its because of how bad the weeds are. It's nice to be the only ones there because we usually catch quite a few but i wanna try some different techniques. There are only a few things i have been able to use because most things just end up dragging back 5 lbs of weeds. The only things i can use (that i can think of) are weightless senkos, top waters, spinnerbaits, shallow cranks, lipless cranks and that's about it. Texas rigged anything seems to just sink into the weeds, as well as jigs, and most other bottom baits i have tried. I started trying a drop shot, but have never done it before. I was just curious if anyone else has any ideas of things to try. I stuck my rod into the bottom and it swallowed about 1/3 of my 7' rod and there is usually about a 5 foot wide mat of weeds around the entire shore. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
  18. Ordered the veritas and it should be here Tuesday. Never tried one but couldn't pass it for the price.
  19. I figured i better finally actually register for this forum. I've searched and read on this forum for probably over a year now. So you guys have helped a lot without even knowing. Well i guess a little about me...I am currently going to Utah State and fish as much as possible, lots of times staying up late during the week to leave the weekends open to fish. Caught my personal best this year, and learned a ton of new techniques thanks to Gene's videos and this website. Actually looking at this site one day while out fishing saved me from getting skunked. I appreciate all the information that all you guys provide and I look forward to hearing lots more from this site. Taylor
