  1. I saw a couple of episodes of a show that kept track of number of casts and fish caught. Anyone know what it was?
  2. Talk about stewardship. Being responsible on the water and shoreline. What clubs do for cleanups and awareness of Invasive species
  3. Cabela's listed it as a new bait. http://www.cabelas.com/product/new-fishing-2016/new-baits-2016|/pc/105922080/c/112146480/livetarget-reg-sunfish-hollow-body/2139997.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fnew-baits-2016%2F_%2FN-1106392%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_112146480
  4. 2015 was a year of opposites. I caught more bass but none more then 5 lbs. I learned a lot about frogs and had a great time in the weeds, then caught fish deep. My deepest at 52 Ft. and one day killed them at 32 ft. I learned to love the Carolina rig but had no luck with the Drop Shot. I guess it was just inconsistent.
  5. Found Some! http://leadfreebassjigs-com.webs.com/
  6. Does anybody sell a Tube jig head that is Lead free?
  7. I watched the video while looking at it at BPS. Looks very interesting! http://www.basspro.com/LIVETARGET-Sunfish-Hollow-Body/product/2246463/
  8. The Cast. The challenging to get the bait right where you want it. I like to fish brush, trees and the bottom. it's all about the cast and a bad one can ruin a perfect spot. The Cast. It's exciting to get the bait right where you want it. After the cast you can swim, jig, spin, drop shot, etc. all day long.
  9. Always have a Gerber on my right hip, except for the more formal opticians. I have been asked to remove it because it was " a weapon" . I don't go to those places any more.
  10. Those look real nice! I like the free swinging screw lock!
  11. A. I prefer to catch bigger fish but when a smallmouth grabs the bait it is always a fun fight!
  12. I am not a fan of ice fishing. The only fish I catch are bass. I'm told I am supposed to catch trout and salmon. I guess I'm not very good at it......
  13. I bought my first lefty baitcaster this year because I didn't understand why I was switching the rod after each cast. Now after using it, it makes no difference. I don't even notice when I switch hands and don't miss a beat when I use the lefty. Same when I pick up the spinning rod, The brain can adapt.
  14. I just came off the pond. Water temp was 61 deg. I caught 2. For the first time in weeks I caught them in less then 20 feet of water. First was a crankbait along the shore in 11 feet and the second was in 5 feet near a tree using a green worm. I think they are starting to move shallow.
  15. I live on the pond and work second shift. I have managed to fish every day for three weeks. usually the only reason I don't fish is the weather. If you're too busy to fish...You're Too Busy!
  16. I live on a pond and when I get company fishing, I get a lot of first time bass fisherman. I always try to put them on fish. I take them to my best spots!. I love when they catch fish and have fun!!
  17. I was fishing along when I felt a hit. set the hook and reeled up a snapping turtle. My jig got him right through the roof of the mouth. If it had been a bass it would have been my 11th in about a 100yrd stretch.
  18. It's my boat so if I am alone and it's my 10th cast I will go get it. If it's my first cast I may fish with another pole as long as the other line is not in my way. If someone is with me I will usually let them fish before going after it. If they are stuck I let them make the call to wait or not. My brother "needs" to go get the lure and will go to extremes to get it. I told him I wasn't putting my new boat ashore for his 3 dollar lure. When we got close he waded in..froze the rest of the day!
  19. I use dog food. I'm sure there is meat in there.
  20. I enjoy the Major League Fishing format, The fish landing penalty for the fish hitting the deck shows me that the others who let the fish flop around do it because they can! No more fish are lost because you took a minute to ensure it wasn't abused.
  21. I have a cheap unit that came with my boat. I use it primary to show depth, then bottom, then structure and cover. it does show fish icons going by the screen but I have yet to catch one of them. and who knows what they are.
  22. Yes! if it's in the pond it ends up in my trap.
  23. I keep one under my dock with dog food. Not only do I catch bait but I can see what is in the pond. When i start catching crayfish I know what to throw. Which shiner or minnow is abundant and when the blue gill are moving.
  24. I like the Line between sun and shade. I always look for it at logs, stumps or docks. It is my starting point when fishing cover.
  25. I am on my fourth Dachshund. She can be seen in my avatar with my Shepard. All my dogs have loved to fish and boat. I only had one that would go into the water after the fish as I was reeling it in.
