first bait casting setup, a black max on sale for $35 and a berkley lightning for like $40, so $75 combo, but the eyes on the rod are about to fall out but i still use the reel for pickerel fishing lol

anyone ever use the cabelas beaver style bait? i bought a couple packs on sale when i took a trip up in january thinking it was a good deal but now when i look at them they look like poop lol

nope sorry never tried any of them but both cabelas and BPS have good warranties

i was looking at the sun dolphin pro 120 its only a little over 11ft and weighs under 250# but the weight capacity is like 650# but for $1800 id get it and put a nice trolling motor on it ( i went with a kayak instead)

right now cabelas has the fish eagle 50 travel rod 6'6 medium 4 piece on sale from $120 to $55 i would say thats a pretty good deal

i tend to concentrate on the spots where you see fast moving water slowing down or slack water usually off to the side goodluck

lol it was but i liked the goonch catfish one but sometimes the stories behind it make me fall asleep and i usually guess the fish like half way through, did you ever watch monster fish?its not bad but I'm not a fan of the host of the show

do you believe putting scents on your baits help you catch more fish? i know someone who won't even touch their bait because they believe the fish will smell their scent, but i was never really a scent person so what do you think?

I'm looking for a casting rod under $200 probably a 6'10-7' MH 1/4-1oz but really light because I'm looking to get the metanium and thats either 6 or 6.2oz (haven't decided on the 7.4 or 8.5 gear ratio yet) so i want a combo preferably under 11oz thanks

i was gonna use it for an all around reel pretty much everything but hardbaits, not including top waters

the left handed models at JLS are sold out and I'm thinking about settling for the metanium, even at the same price is it worth it? or should i wait
