Diawa Rod
I'm looking to get a travel rod and I've been looking at the Diawa Ardito-TR travel casting rod because of mainly just the name and the 5 year warranty, but cabbalas has a travel rod for about the same price with a 25 year warranty but i feel like i would have more problems with the cabelas one so I'm not sure which one anything helps thanks, tight lines

Need Help With Snakehead Fishing In South Florida
i live in pa but we do have snakeheads here but anyway to help a little my 2 favorite baits for snakehead are frogs, either hollow or hard bodied and jerkbaits (rip baits) i don't know about your weather down there must be nice, but i tend to catch more in early spring to right around the bluegill spawn and tend to always find them close to the bank especially if theres grass, and to handle them, they do have teeth so hold them like a catfish like right behind the gills hope this helps tight lines, jim

Vibration
when i throw either spinnerbaits or rattle traps (now this might be just me) but i don't rely go over 14lb test usually i use 12lb but maybe is the rod your using, because when i throw either baits I'm usually using a 7-7'1 MH with an extra fast tip i can't think of anything else but hopefully this helps tight lines, jim

Favorite Hooks For Texas Rig Worms
well it all depends of how I'm fishing it, if I'm using a bullet weight with a ribbon tail worm ill got with a 3 or 4/0 light wire EWG and that worm will usually be either a berkley or netbait (it all depends on personal preference) if your looking to try out different colors i would suggest berkley havoc juice worms for $2.99 a pack you can't beat it for all the colors they have and add your own scent as for straight tail worms ill use a 3/0 offset worm hook fishing it weightless and ill always by zoom and I'm almost always using white, green pumpkin chart tail or a black red flake either weightless or on a shaky head hope this helps tight lines, jim

Bass But No Shad
i don't have a boat but i fish small lakes with the same problem and over the past 2 years i started fishing for bluegill to find out what they were eating, if they were aggressive or dormant, but yellow perch are usually a different story because you can find bluegill at every depth but i tend to find that yellow perch are harder to come by bank fishing because they are usually caught in deeper depths so if I'm not watching for bluegill ill just walk and walk until i see minnows or anything that i might think the bass are feeding on to help me find a pattern and what to use hope this helps, jim

Gambler Ugly Otter
what does everyone think about the gambler ugly otters and the little otters? i went to cabbalas and they had them in the bargain cave for like $1.99 so i grab about 15 packs because of the price and the scent but i never used them before. i was thinking about using the regular size maybe to punch and as a jig trailer and the little otters just as a jig trailer. so any suggestions or anything good about them? thanks tight lines!

Organization
when i order fishing stuff (which is all the time) i organize it a certain way. i will take mostly everything out of the bag (unless it comes with scent) and put them in plano boxes according to the type of bait it is, putting worms together, frogs, creatures, and craws etc. because I'm a bank fisherman, i carry way too much with me but with soft plastics ill only carry 5 or 6 and re-stock it when I'm running low. so i was wondering how everyone stores everything there not using that may be extra

What Is Your Favorite Species Outside Of Bass And Why?
definitely has to be chain pickerel! here up north we have small ponds and creeks when you can catch them all day, but the only thing that sucks about them is the fact that they will rip apart every lure you have but its the best when your throwing a topwater frog and you have one explode on it and if you miss it he will come back again and again to get it! Awesome experiences

Baby Bass Cranks
check out the vicious crankbaits at TW i bought a couple last year and there cheap and have a great paint job but i would change the hooks out for something a little better
-
Punching Skirts
whenever I'm punching i look at it this way: if the water is stained i use a black/blue skirt if its clear ill use a bluegill or green pumpkin skirt as for the brand i always use the zman skirts that are for chatterbaits because on TW they are like $2.89 for 3 and they have all the colors i use hope this helps, jim

Chatterbait Or Spinnerbait?
the only thing you have to watch out with when fishing with chatterbaits is if your using one without a weed guard and your fishing around wood, when coming in contact with the wood the chatterbait will usually turn sideways and hook the wood but other than that i love them and prefer the *** chatterbaits that come with the weed guard over the original zman ones tight lines!

Boca Bearings
there a little noisy and not that smoothwhen casting and i have cleaned them so i thought that new bearings and a little oil would fix that problem
-
Boca Bearings
I'm just trying to make the reel a little smoother I've had it for a year already and have used it religiously throughout the summer
-
Boca Bearings
I'm on a very tight budget right now and I'm looking to upgrade the bearings in my lews carbon fiber speed spool and i wanted to use the ABEC 7s but i can't afford that so i was gonna get the ABEC 5s. is there that much of a difference in them? and how are the ABEC 5s if i do decide to get them, do they work just as good? thanks, jim

Dumbest Or Most Silliest Things Said To You Or Heard While Fishing
one time i was fishing a small creek for smallies in the summer only about 10-15 inches but its nice for a hot day and i usually catch around 25-30, well i was walking a trail and some older lady was jogging and i caught one about 12 inches and she couldn't really speak english and said ohh nice fish how many you catch and i told her today i caught about 12 so far and she got upset with me like i was lying to her and started arguing with me tell me to stop lying about it but she wasn't being friendly about it and i kept telling her i have no reason to lie to you but she insisted i was lying so i just moved on. Crazy person! another time, this probably happens to everyone, but i was fishing a 5.5 in swim bait during the shad spawn and a couple comes over while I'm reeling in asking me if i caught anything and when i reel up they see the swim bait and swear I've just caught a fish, i had to hold it in my hand and show them it was just a lure and the guy said to me "you aren't gonna catch anything with that" fun times!

Everything About Finesse Fishing
im a power fisherman and don't finesse fish at all (unless throwing a weightless fluke) and i need some tips on shaky head fishing. this year I'm trying to get into finesse fishing and want to start with shaky heads, so just shed a little light on me as what size weight i should use and the best baits. i have tried it a couple times last year but its hard to get into something that you have no confidence in thanks! tight lines
