Winter Sucks
i wouldn't know how some of you people down south feel who might complain about a little cold front but right now in pa its like 30 and i haven't gotten out in about a month and a half and cabin fever has been slowly kicking in for a while now i know i usually try to combat this buy going out and buying everything i can that i might need but I'm trying to cut back a little bit so instead of buying I've been on the computer just watching fishing videos and trying to learn something new so my question for everyone is how do you try to handle the months your not able to get out on the water?

Punching Info.
i see one of your favorite lakes to fish is van sciver I've actually been going there for 15 years if you plan on trying to punch there try the lake at the club house, once the grass thickens up with the lily pads i pull a lot of nice ones out of there and especially near the boat launch because of the tournaments they have there I've caught 5 pounders there. and on that lake theres a lot of isolated lily pads that hold some really nice bass, when I'm punching it ill usually use a 1/2 to 1 oz tungeston weight with a 3/0 or 4/0 vmc punching hooks or the owner flipping' hooks, i usually use netbait beavers (watermelon jelly and black shadow work the best for me) or the big bite baits brush pig and if I'm using a punch skirt ill use a z man skirt (3 for $2.89 can't beat that) any questions i can help with just ask goodluck and tight lines, jim

Tackle Box/bag
bank fisherman here, but i just went from a bass pro bag to the cabbalas advanced anglers bag which is awesome so far. it comes with 4-3600 boxes and i added a 3601 for terminal tackle and 2 3500 boxes, one for jigs and the other for frogs. for the 3600 boxes, 1 is a spinnerbait box but i put buzzbaits and chatterbaits in there along with spinnerbaits, one of the other 3600 boxes is all hardbaits so crankbaits, all topwater, jerk baits and hard body swim baits and in the other 3600 box is all my jig trailers and lunch baits. inside the bag i have a cabelas bait binder where i put all my scented baits, mostly gambler and i have a gallon freezer bag with mainly worms. this covers every situation i might fish and its not that heavy so definitely works great for walking all day fishing!
