  1. I had a scammed that called and said they were the Irs and they were pursuing lawsuit against me for unpaid taxes. I called it back and it was an international number. I still haven't heard from a lawyer about my so called unpaid taxes.
  2. That's exactly what the police told me when my house was broken into 2 years ago. I'm not anti-gun, but a small arsenal of weapons will not do any good when the burglar breaks into your home when you're at work. Most burglars will do a stake out in a way to assess the ease of breaking into a home.
  3. Try some Keitech fat impact or easy shinners. Reaction innovations skinny dippers are a popular swim bait in sw ohio where I fish. Grab some 1/8 oz to 1/4 oz jig heads and some swim bait hooks and toss them around some weed beds or any visible cover and you should pull out some nice fish.
  4. When casting the A right in a kayak does the drag from the spinner blades create a lot of drag and pull you around in the kayak?
  5. I picked up some twitch sticks for 3 bucks a piece over the weekend. The soft plastics they had on clearance wasn't anything I was interested in. It just depends on the store. I've seen some good stuff people on here have picked up for cheap, but not in my local dsg.
  6. I've played guitar off and on for 20 years. For the last year I haven't played but the guitar bug is bitting at me since it is to cold to fish and I don't ice fish.
  7. I have a dsg gift card burning a hole in my pocket. Looks like I'm getting a couple shadow raps.
  8. This thread is awesome. I knew I wasn't the only cheapskate towards buying fishing gear. I only buy lures that are on sale and try to get them on clearance if I can. I always check closeout bins too. I have received my kayak and 2 rod and real outfits for Christmas or father's day. My kayak and baitcast combo were Christmas presents and my wife was able to get them for half price by getting them on Black Friday sales. Last year my health insurance gave us gift cards for filling out health assessments, so I chose bps gift cards and used them during the classic sale last year. Edit: I forgot add that a local mom and pop tackle shop also pours their own jig heads for a very reasonable price. They have a tubs bait and grub bar that has tiny crappie tubes and grubs up to flipping tube and 5-6 inch grubs.
  9. What happened to the havoc worm that looked like the thumping dinger? I was looking forward to trying them out this year. I don't see them on tw or the Berkley site.
  10. I think they still make a good product, but there is so many different options for soft plastic lures now it makes it difficult to be innovative. I really like their havoc line of baits. The flat dawg and the jerk fluke style bait were my go to lures when the bass had lock jaw.
  11. That is some good motivation to try and get a fish on other lures. I was able to knock the buzz bait of my list on lures last year .I finally caught a few buzz bait fish.
  12. I bought this kit when bps had their classic sale this year. I only used them a couple of times and didn't have any luck with them. The paint jobs on these baits are very nice and the oval split ring is a nice touch also. The few times I used them I did like the action and tracking ability and how they deflected off of cover.
  13. Both of the meijers close to me have those same lures clearanced for months, but not for that price.
  14. I tried the pit boss without any luck, but I didn't have much better luck with the sk structure bug either. I'm going to give them both a lot more use next year. I need to try both on a swinging football head and see how that works for me.
  15. That's an awesome find. Last time I went into a wally word I heard someone fart so loud I heard I'd it five isles over. I haven't been back since.
  16. https://goo.gl/photos/QwRkxJVDtaRLCaoVA 4 inch zoom tab tail grub pearl white. It's about 16 inches I'm guessing 2and a half pounds.
  17. I haven't been to the Cincinnati cabela's yet but have heard from multiple people that it is disappointing. They are putting a store in Centerville, I hope it is decent since dsg I go to is a let down when looking for a specific lure or color.
  18. Lately my go to baits are havoc the jerk and flat dawg. Both in green pumpkin/green pumpkin candy. Rigged weightless on a 3/0 ewg hook.
  19. If they have the havoc flat dawg grab some of those. They have produced a good amount of fish for me this year. Especially the green pumpkin candy color.
  20. I've been using the 3.8 fat impacts on a screw lock weighted 3/0 hook on medium casting gear with 14 lb copolymer. I believe the weight is a 1/8and a 3/16 weight.
  21. What kind of box did you find I'm in the same boat(no pun intended) as you being in a kayak also.
  22. I live in sw Ohio also and I've had my best luck this year on berkley flat dawg worms in green pumpkin candy. It's like a senko but looks like it was stepped on. I fish a highly pressured lake that see's a lot of pleasure boaters and have caught some nice bass on those worms.
