  1. Bone and loon for me also. 95% of my fish have been caught on the 90 bone whopper plopper.
  2. Hit the river this morning with a couple of buddies. We had a quick storm blow in on us and it rained for about 10 minutes. Long enough to turn the bite on for a few minutes. The big smallie smashed a 90 whopper plopper in some swift water and gave a couple of jumps for a show. I think it went around 15-16 inches.

I was going to say Berkley since they just released a line of topwater baits. After reading some of the opinions it would be Bass pro shops. You could go into any of their stores without owning any fishing gear and buy the bps brand gear, head to the lake and catch some fish.
  4. I have a pflueger trion that is 3 years old. I have dunked it about a dozen times since I got it and it still works like the day my wife gave it to me.
  5. Caught this one the other day. She hit a popmax hugging the bank.
  6. Topwater poppers, walking baits and buzzbaits. Don't forget the ned rig. It can save you from a skunk.
  7. Smallies liked the ned yesterday morning. I caught 11 in 30 minutes. The ned is a skunk buster.
  8. Dipping my feet in the glide bait world.
  9. I'm looking forward to the pencil popper and double prop bait.
  10. My back ordered Dark Sleeper came in today. I can't wait to see if the smallies like it.
  11. Bass pro order came in. I got some strike king menace grubs and zoom fat alberts. Berkley pitbull squarebills,Berkley half head ned rid heads and chompers shakey heads. Some big and finesse trd's and bitsy bug jigs.

  13. I finally ordered some menace grubs after seeing some of the hogs you have caught on them. Awesome fish btw.
  14. I have 3 popmax poppers and might add a couple more of their topwater lures. I'm confident with their lures but I'm also confident with other less expensive brands. Like said before the fish don't know what brand of lure you are using.
  15. Welcome from a fellow southern Ohioan.
  16. My biggest smallie wasn't that big but a decent 17 inches. I caught it on a megabass sexy french pearl popmax.
  17. I don't go to far East for fishing. Let me know if your in the Dayton area that's my main stomping grounds.
  18. It's a little over an hour away from me.
  19. Shimano Casitas on a St Croix premier 7 ft medium fast. Can'twait for the snow to go away now.
  20. This is my favorite fishing channel. It's no nonsense and he catches some nice fish. I like youtubefishingvids also, he doesn't put out a whole lot of content and its pretty decent stuff.
  21. Whopper ploppers don't work for me
  22. Senko dingers or stickos
  23. I did look at that reel but can't find one in a left hand retrieve locally.
  24. I am in the market for a new baitcaster and have narrowed it down to these two reels. My only concern othe svs infinity braking system the casitas has. I'm familiar with magnetic brakes and centrifugal brakes together but not how the svs infinity braking system works. Thanks for any input.
  25. I'm a little late to this but I fish the Great and Little Miami rivers a few times a year. You should have luck using poppers and grubs this time of year. Anyway how did you do?
