  1. If you ask five river anglers, you'll get five answers. For me, I am crawling soft craws along weedbeds and timber.
  2. I need to find a suitable canoe or yak for cheap first.
  3. James River for smallmouth, Table Rock if lakes are your bag, Taney for trout and if you choose Pomme de Terre for muskie.
  4. I gotta meet up with some of these bass-tards and get fish catching tips since I don't fish stillwater much and am waaay behind the 8 ball. Who do I make the $19.99 out to? It'll be in used jigheads, hope that's alright.
  5. I am a creature of habit. If a Red Eye Spinnerbait caught a bass from a certain log in March thre Marches ago, I will toss it again. I have probably 80% of my hardbaits that haven't seen water. In the creeks up here, I toss plastics rigged weedless so I get them back.
  6. The C3 is a legend. Don't skimp on these reels. The bearings are of higher quality and the reel just feels better.
  7. I need to get a paddle craft to explore the local lakes, but until then, creeks are where it's at.
  8. Warts. I can get bit on Shad Raps or DTs, but Warts are a no go for me.
  9. Worms aren't in my top five baits, but if all else fails, they get a chance.
  10. Toss some UV Speed Craws, Pit Boss Jr or a Zip N Ziggy.
  11. Jitterbug and a Zip N Ziggy...not too confident in either.
  12. Shimano Curado 200B, available all day for $65 or so, speaking of which, there's one in the flea market.
  13. I want to find a decent sling pack for a good price.
  14. The current record isn't Perry, the Kurita fish was heavier. 22.25 <22.311. It is already a Biwa Bass. To acknowledge the Perry bass is foolish.
  15. Yes and no. One sits more tail down than the other and one walks easier, IMO. I have both and fish both, but I prefer the Sexy Dawg Jr.
  16. They are different in action and their effectiveness depends on conditions. You will want them both!
  17. Im about 5'7" and I like my casting rods at 5'6" and spinning rods at 6'. I fish from either a canoe or yak and don't fish big water.
  18. I had a Calcutta 100 that I strongly regret selling. It was fantastic!
  19. Wow, good to know. Please keep us posted. Those old reels are tanks and just don't die.
  20. Interesting, I am currently using a 5.5' casting combo with 10l lb CX Premium. I use shallow cranks, jigeads to 1/4oz, plastics, 3/16oz spinnerbaits and one 1/8oz buzzbait and a zip n ziggy. This handles what I routinely do with aplomb. The rod is a 5'6" M from Academy.
  21. I'm familiar with the CR721 and think it would work well for me, but $250 for a stick to beat around the brush? Yikes!
  22. I want to know, what rod/reel, tackle bag, lure selection, etc. I'm looking at upgrading a few things and new food for thought. Thanks!
