  1. So it does. Does anyone have one? How do you like it?
  2. Is it just my computer or has the forum been acting up? I have been getting module errors and can't load the pages. It comes in waves, sometimes it gives me an error (all last night and just now), and sometimes in works.
  3. I have heard good things about the Avid, but I enjoy the micro guides on my Duckett. It might be good to mix it up though and get a rod with large guides. Have any of you had any experience with these rods? How do they compare?
  4. I was eating a snack in the woods yesterday after cleaning a turkey I shot. I didn't think a thing of it till my brother pointed out I had not washed my hands. I told him I rubbed them in the dirt, but he didn't believe that got them clean.
  5. I like American Made for sure! That is what most of my decisions are based around. (even though I just bought a Shimano.) St. Croix is also owned by Americans. That is why I buy Smith & Wesson. Owned by Americans and built in the USA.
  6. How is G-Loomis's service? Is EX6 as good as a St. Croix? What St. Croix would you recommend if I got one?
  7. I know what rod I am getting next.
  8. What was wrong with it. Did they make you send the whole rod in. How much did that cost?
  9. They said they did not want to give me a new one for just shipping cost because they were a more refined version, but would try to repair mine for that, but I had to pay shipping both ways. That is why they wanted the whole thing. If I paid the $60 I was to cut the serial number section out of the rod and send it to them.
  10. Have you used their customer service or not needed it? If so, are they helpful? Thanks
  11. I cannot believe that they are not fixing it. It is still under warranty (20 year) and the reason they said that it cost $40+s&h for a new one is that the bugs from the old have been worked out. In that case they should have had a recall, not charge extra. I really like the rod and that the company is in my home state, but this might be my last Duckett.
  12. Sounds great. I contacted them again with a strongly worded email, but the best they said they could do is have me send it to them and they would fix it for shipping cost of $20. If they could not fix it then they would send me a new one. This would be fine, but they want me to ship the entire pole (opposed to a small section I would cut out of the pole that they wanted this morning) to them which according to them cost on average 20-25 dollars. That would bring me back up to $45, nearly 30% retail value of a new rod.
  13. You can also join the bass team online. Working on your on time lets you fish during the day and work at night. Not much sleep though.
  14. Thanks. I have an outing planned at the end of next week (actually sooner, but this caused me to post-pone) and this is my only rod, so I am hoping to get it fixed fast.
  15. I will contact you soon. I have a lot of classes today (sitting in class right now) and will be preparing for finals so I am pretty busy, but I will; contact you ASAP. I might also try to write a strong, more proffesional email to Duckett, instead of calling them and I might get further. My voice is still 18 so I do not get quite as much respect over the phone.
  16. The only reason I am on an on campus is because the online classes seemed to hacve a small choice of proffesors so you could get stuck having to take a bad proffesor, btu I really enjoyed the online classes and would not mind going back to them.
  17. I took several semesters online at the University of Alabama. I did quite well and enjoyed not having to drive (which saved me enough gas money to go ffishing more often) and working on my own time. I also never caught a single cold from going to class online either. I heard Liberty is very good and I strongly considered it. Math was a little hard online because I am not the best at math, but most classes have videos included so that made it easier. If Hillsdale had online degrees besides constitutional classes, which I am currently taking, I would definitely go there.
  18. I am pretty handy, especially with building. Do you think the fix would be just as good or would you go for the replacement?
  19. Sitting in English Comp right this second preparing for upcoming finals.
  20. I also have that problem. My grandad has a boat, but I can't take it out every day. I am currently trying to get into my schools bass team and find someone that needs a partner (though I have been trying to contact someone on the team and can't find anyone. I know there is a team though because AUM was ranked a couple of years ago and I have heard of them still fishing tournaments.) Does your college have a bass team?
  21. I have contacted Duckett and was told that they would replace it, but since it was a year and a half ago it would cost me $60. I am usually impressed with the customer service, but they disapointed me today. I don't know if it is worth the extra. The tip has been replaced, they top is slightly warped, and the seat is twisting, but that is 40% of retail.
  22. Thanks. What are your favorite trailers?
  23. 6:3:1 Curado 200 I
  24. I was in a tournament 2 years ago and the top 5 bags were from the Alabama rig. I have a Alabama rig, but I do not know where to throw it. Its loud. What kind of structure do you throw it in?
