Just got in Mann's Reel N' Shad and War Eagle buzzbait. Though i have only caught one fish with them they are my new favorites. My favorite tried and true baits is a Zara Puppy and a texas rigged worm.

Caught a 2 lb bass today on anheavily pressured pond where the fish usally wont nite anything. The bait held up very well. It didnt even tear the plastic at all. Included hooks are very sharp too.

They are Hardnose so that should make them a little bit more durable.

They have a lot of action while swimming. I will let you know how they hold up after catching a few fish.

One thing I did find with fishing the shad in my pond is that you have to reel the first couple of reels pretty fast and then slow down, like you are trying to get the blades spinning on a rooster tail.

Just got my new Mann's Reel N' Shads in. They work just like in the video. The one included head seemed a little heavy, but it does let you reel fast without the lure coming to high, other than that they look great. I have not got to use them on the lake yet, but I could imagine they will do great. Anyone else have any luck with them yet?

By drum, do you mean the spool?

When I cast my Curado 200 I the spool makes a whining noise about half way through the cast. I turned off the brakes (I was using 1 internal and 3 external) and it did not seem to make the noise as bad (but I was getting backlashes). I was using a 3/4 oz spinnerbait and 10lb mono. What would cause this? This is my second outing. Other than that the reel worked great (except for casting a couple of my lures into the trees).

What hook should I get for a Mann's Reel N' Shad?

Is Yo Zuri ultra soft just as good as the original? I can get the ultra soft much cheaper than the original.

When putting new line on my Curado there is a bar in front of the spool. Do I go under the bar or over? Thanks

How loud is to loud. I just got my curado in and I can hear it when I reel, but it does not sound grindy or dirty, but wouldn't anything make a noise to some degree when spinning?

I tried fishing it like a jig, but it did not have much action and liked to turn over. A jig seems to have more action like a crawdad unless the clacking craw is reeled in very fast. If the clacking' craw is retrieved reel fast (pun intended) it looks great, but is on top of the water.
