  1. Mnnrick, only one way to find out fish those rocks and see if there home good luck
  2. I use both fc and braid for jig fishing I like braid in heavy cover because I feel like it. Cuts through weeds with little effort. I use fc for swimming jigs and lighter jigs. I never use fc leaders for jig fishing
  3. yes even with a cheap unit you get water temp and depth as well as seeing baitfish it helps soo much
  4. you have plenty of truck to pull any fishing boat just get a nice aluminum boat and a trailer. I see soo many guys at the launch spending fishing time pulling boats out of truck beds then rigging up all there electronics and gear when I can launch my 16" tracker by my self beach it park and start fishing in 5min. Besides over time your going to hurt your self lugging a boat in and out of your truck i fish on trolling motor only lakes all the time just back in a little more and troll it right on just be sure to lift the tm before you get too close
  5. I'm a welder and I went with a Tracker pro guide 16 sc the quality and warranty plus the paint job you can't beat it you can go through 18" water no problem and you can beach the boat on rocks and sand and it won't scratch. And I have a 75 hp mercury on it rough water no problem I fish on huge lake like red lake lake of the woods its super safe and stable. And riveted boats over time will leak and pull apart lund boats are also very good.
  6. lake of the isles launch at Calhoun troll to isles and fish the banks lots of nice bass to catch. You will be able to film the mpls sky line and see pretty girls and catch fish in the same shot
  7. I have a Tracker 2016 pro guide 16, not really a bass boat but it works great for any kind of fishing and allows you to have more people in the boat than a traditional bass boat and handles big water much better. I don't really see the point of aluminum bass boats just my opinion if you really want aluminum I would go with a v hull tracker or Lund.
  8. I'm very happy with my Tracker pro guide 16 sc I bought last June I upgraded to the 75 hp mercury. The only thing i would have done differently would have been to upgrade electronics and trolling motor
  9. I bought a 2016 tracker pro guide 16 sc with 75hp merc and couldn't be happier. The paint job is second to none and I can't fathom how you could break a weld on that thing, and even if you did the warranty covers it. My only complaint would be the trolling motor and electronics that come with it are under whelming.
  10. I've fished medicine lake a couple of times the shallow bite is no good bass seen to be on submerged points in 10 to 14 feet o water and move on and up the points to 6' water morning and dusk. I have also fished fish lake in maple grove and bass can be caught on a frog in Lilly pads all day and bass are biting on Rock piles un 10 to 14' water on jigs and crank baits
  11. Any time you can fish go fish I would have been out in the rain as well
  12. If the carp are done spawning its probably bass. Try using a spook type bait when you see shad breaking the surface or fish feeding on shad. The side to side walking movement of a sexy shad or spook works for me
  13. Ardent edge elite amazon has it for 111$ and it is in left hand retrieval *** berings
  14. Ardent edge elite amazon has it for 111$ and it is in left hand retrieval *** berings
  15. I have a revo sx it's awesome I'm sure there rods are good as well
  16. I have the ardent edge elite and its awesome for 110$ you can't beat it
  17. Ardent edge elite reel duckett ghost great gear that can be found in your price range
  18. You get what you pay for and we all have preferences. All you need to do is understand how you like to fish and make your purchase based on what you want out of your equipment. For me its sunline fc sniper and suline fx2 braid. Also trilene mono stretches way more then fluorocarbon.
  19. Fast retrieval is good for keeping fish from wrapping you up in cover. Slower retrieval is good for keeping you from fishing crank baits and the like too fast. Hope that helps
  20. Toothpaste and bleach mixed and scrub it with a old tooth brush
  21. I think most are deep but all the bass I've caught have been really shallow mourning and evening
  22. Had a great opener up in aiken MN and even got out Monday I'm Minneapolis and caught a 4 pounder
  23. I bet Pepin will be good fishing early season
  24. The drop shot is a must as well. Love it after cold fronts.
  25. I agree 100% about the pike I fish Minneapolis lakes alot and the musky and pike are a problem I hate it but I use steel leaders late spring and in the fall. The pressure on the pike and musky is so high with spinners that the hit my plastics all day. On sunny days I like to punch the milfoil mats and on cloudy days I do better on the 4 to 12' weed lines.
