Everyone's PB
Thanks it's a monster in mm as kinda bitter sweet chances are I won't catch one that big here ever again. My buddy was 10' away from me when he took the pic. My other buddy on the boat didn't believe the scale and made us measure it 24" and looked up a length to weight diagram then shut his mouth.

Really Idiotic Question
Don't fish a weightless senko in conditions that you can't feel a bite maybe it's just me but bites on senkos and worm are pretty obvious. A jig is a bit tougher and there are many lessons learned. I think Denny has the right idea, know what a bite doesn't feel like I don't think anyone can say what a jig bite feels like. Every jig bite feels different, one day they bite on the drop and you only feel the lack of the weight of the jig. The next day they take it off the bottom and it feels like a tap. Next day they want it on the hop or swim and it feels like weight or the bass is swimming towards you, that's why you just need to pay attention and fish fish fish.

Really Idiotic Question
When fishing a jig you really need to focus and watch your like and feel for any change in the feel of the bait. I mean any change at all line moves set the hook, can't feel the jig set the hook. Try to feel your line as the jig descends, use your thumb on the spool lightly as the jig falls help you feel a bite. Also try sent like jj's magic bass seem to hold on longer. Most of all just have the mindset that a bass could have your bait right when it hits the water and be ready. Good luck

Any other reels I should look at?
I just saw a revo sx for 110$ on Amazon. I have one and it's a great reel. And every spring I open up my reels for maintenance and by far my revo is the cleanest inside I probably don't even need to open it if I didn't want to.

Effective operating distance of the I-pilot remote?
I have the ulterra and I've used my remote at 50 yards away before I wouldn't go much farther than that. I lauch my boat with the ulterra on let my boat float out of the way and spot lock it and I can control the boat from 50 yards easily. Make sure you have extra batteries for the remote in your boat and in your truck I learned this the hard way?

"First time braid suggestion"
I don't know if this is the same everywhere but dicks sporting goods I'm Minnesota has power pro on sale for 19.99 for 300 yard spools great deal good line. I use 15lb for spinning and it works great I don't like spiderwire stealth at least on spinning gear. I think the coating on it makes the line too slick and also helps the line twist like crazy just my opinion.

Lowest price I've seen for that reel is 119$ and that's a steal I really love mine

Seems like a lot heavier weights being used nowadays
I use a 3/4oz jig or slither rig most of the time and bass seem to crush it before it drops a foot. if I'm not getting that bite on the drop I'll swim it and if I get biters I might switch to a 1/2oz and swim it back. I live in Minnesota and you could be pitching huge fields of milfoil that are 18ft deep or pads that have 3' of water and the efficiency and mass of a heavy bait seem to really help catch good size bass.

Summer Milfoil - Edges or Up Inside?
I'm assuming you are from Minnesota as am I what seems to work best for me. early mourning fish edges afternoon docks with grass near or look for holes in the grass. Spots where milfoil and other weeds meet like cabbage or pads. Evening back to the edges. On cloudy days the edges seem to be good all day on sunny days holes and matted areas seem better. I also like edges next to sand, deep water, reeds. hope this helps

Foot Controlled CRASH - Plus a battery question.
I wouldn't get a optima until you upgrade your trolling motor just get another cheaper battery. Also make sure you have the space In your battery compartment before you upgrade so you know what size batteries you can accommodate and how many volts you can run. I would suggest 24v 80lb trust would work well for your boat, I have a 16' tracker and went from 40lb trust to 80lb and it's amazing how much better it can control. Make sure you get a onboard charger installed it's really a life saver.

Beginning the purchasing process
You might want aluminum if your boat is going to be in the water for long periods of time. Pick out all the additional options and have them installed and financed in like electronics and TM.

Pro Angler Advice
90% of all fishing gear is good enough to get the job done. I would rather spend 20bucks to get 3 crank baits that cover 3 different colors or depths than spend 20 on one crank that makes sounds or whatever. I have bought GY Senkos for 6.99$ and caught fish then went and bought 2.99$ yum dingers and done just as well. I know some baits just work better than brands but you figure it out as you go.

Conflicting info in the fishing world
All I can add is don't worry about things you can't control like weather as long as it's safe, if you have the time to fish go fish and start working on the puzzle that is bass fishing. We give bass too much credit sometimes, it's just a fish with a big mouth and big appetite that works on instinct.

Who would you fish with for a day?
Hard question but Al Linder the guy is a legend. Scott Martin close second.

Finding fish on a large lake
I like to break down big lakes into smaller parts then dissect each part to learn the lake
-
Where are the bigger bass?
I would get away from the 12" bass maby use a bladed jig power fish shallow points and isolated cover then work back over the water and fish a big jig slow might not get many bites but you should find the right ones

Bass Fishing Blasphemy
I'm right handed and only use left handed retrieve i use steel leaders on all moving baits(mr pike is a problem up here) I like slither/punch rigs more than grass jigs i use the biggest jigs and creatures I can find and fish them 90% of the time
