Glacier glove full finger. The thumb and index finger tips are able slotted to expose the tips to tie knots. Neoprene type not bulky . Seems to keep the rest of the fingers warm. About sixteen to twenty dollars.

Still have some pistol grip rods. Shakespeare USA graphite rods a president rod and a cabelas fisheagle . All through the handle graphite. I also have a sears rebranded ugly stick called a tuffstick with a lifetime warranty? And an old Shimano .

I have an LTX and have it mounted on a LTB MLXF rod. And I can throw 1/8 just as far as 3/8 on my other rigs. In fact I used it last year on a trout fishing trip. The shallow spool on the LTX does make a difference over my other reels that I have tried on this rod. It casts about the same as my ML spinning rod. I have found that it is best to set the mag brake high and back off as needed. I use it for small spinners plugs and weightless worms craws Exc. The only drawback is that I have a tendency to try and horse a fish in and on six pound test not the best idea. I also have a gtx 853 and I would not put this reel on that rod. I have a lews teamlite on that one. I have been fishing left hand baitcasters since the shimano bantum mag 251,s came out in about 84.

Check with a local electric motor repair shops. Have had some from other brands rebuilt for much less. Just took a couple of days.

Try some line conditioner. I use it on my braid . Casts improve and color lasts longer.

My 251 bantum mag is kind of shady and loose but working. I take it out and use it about once a year for a joke. Hasn't been used much since replaced in the early 21 century by my b's. It has had no major repairs in thirty years. I have in that time period.

I own three of them. Very good rod but. If you have large hands the cork on the split grip is too short and my hand sits on the blank. After a few hours of fishing it gets uncomfortable. My older full grip no problem. Just a point to ponder. I plan to find a rod builder this winter and have the other two converted to full grip.. I f I had to pick the most versatile it would be the tbc610mxf. Just my opinion.

I believe the 3771 plano boxes. They are thinner and three take the space of two normal 3700 boxes. They have five rows and heavy duty spacers that have a larger range of adjustment.

I use the mustad w37754r weedless hook. Very satisfied with hookups. Always through top of mouth just pull and reel [circle type hook] Came highly recommended on this website. Most of my water is very clear. I prefer spinnerbaits in summer as they go through grass and other junk better. Come fall and lower temperatures dying grass I switch to chatterbaits as they can be fished much slower.

The Cabelas Ohio stores are 80,000 sq feet my local Mi store is about 225;000 sq feet. Almost three times the size. Their is a difference.

On the Cabelas it seems to mater what size store. Have a large size cabelas about fifteen miles north has a much more diverse selection then the BPS which is about fifteen miles south. Depends on what your looking for. Bps stores seem to be all large as cabelas have some lower square footage stores. Are gandermoutain area store no longer carries fishing equipment and are local DSG,S are very week. I don't even go to the Cabelas on the weekend as their are too many people.

I use a st.Croix ml ltb about 6 10 lenth with a abu ltx reel . I throw eighth ounce spinner baits with no problem. I have pulled in many bass no problem. This spring trout fishing after hours of fishing and a hand ache. I picked up this rod and had no problem throwing a little jacke spoon which is less then an eighth ounce with eight pound test as far as my spinning rods, or close? The only bad thing about this rod is that if you have large hands like myself the handle is way too short and uncomfortable for me.. Except for the grip I am very pleased with the rod. Just another option. I am a loomis rod fan as they make their split grip handles long enough to satisfy me.

Are their any left hand retrieve or are they all wrong hand retrieve?

I have a president [59.00] and a supreme MGX [100.00] and their is a major difference between these reels.

Also BP pro qualifier? Shimano makes some lefts in very low gear ratios. I own a few of them.
