I do not have that reel but have had some other quantums and they had that feel at first. But after some use the feeling went away. They just need to be broke in? Mine have worked fine for years since?

Used them last weekend for trout fishing. Just caught two trout . I couldn't keep the bass off of them?

Used them a lot in the eightys. The name changed to supreme sometime back then. You can still find them on the internet. Try supreme lures.

I have a ltb ml rod and a abu ltx reel for about two years now. I have used other reels on that rod but the ltx makes a major difference. Other reels used are a team lews light and a bps carbon lite on this rod. I throw 1/8 and some lighter just as far on this as my ml spinning rod. Last year I used it trout fishing as my arm was giving out on my spinning set. I was somewhat apprehensive on the purchase of this reel but it made a difference in casting lower weight projectiles On most of my reels the brakes are set quite low but on this start very high and back off. I use eight lbs coply line. The spool is very shallow so small line and small amounts.

Looks like my old KVD bag but different color. Had about four years now no problem. Not using the storage boxes? I put my stored tackle in the boxes and just take what boxes I think I will need that day. Did I miss something? Not using the storage boxes? You will have to forgive me I have oldtimers disease?

On spinning McCoy copolymer my only choice.

For leaders I have bought pline floro or floroclear as it appears to have more of a translucent look then other brands of mono, copoly or floro. Any others that seem very clear. Any others I should look at?

On a crankbait rod what difference would it make? I fish them tip down?

The line is very slick. Give yourself some tag line if you are not good on knots. They can slip. I have had a couple slip. My friend who is very good with knots has used this line for salmon and steelhead leaders has had no problem. My son who is always in a hurry and has had a few knots slip. Where in MI are you? I am from the Monroe, Lenawee county area.

Have used both. I prefer the mcoy on spinning gear . The yozuri 10 diameter seems like it is between a 12 and 15 mcoy? I have just used the clear and not the green but they are suppose to be the same formula. Four years ago I had never heard of mcoy but it is now my favorite on my non braid rigs. I mostly use casting rigs and use as low as 8.lb mcoy. The only bad thing I can say about the mcoy is availability . I have to order it online and larger amounts . Yozuri can be picked up at many places in smaller amounts. If I buy yozuri I drop at least one line size. Lines I have used. silver thread, pline, trilene xl xt vicious and stren. Mcoy is my only choice on spinning gear and my favorite overall. Low stretch, abrasion resistance in my opinion. My two PB bass have come on this line and never a breakoff. No one seems to sell this line but TW ?

First thought front o2 sensor. They are recommended for replacement at over fifty thousand miles. You could pull it out and wash it with soap and water no solvents "". Dealers do this to get them past warranty .As they get old they tend to react slowly. Also check air intake for blockage. Rodents etc. to intake.

I have no problem with my 854 loomis with a half oz jigs. Almost all my rods are stcroix or loomis. I would rate my mh stcroix as slightly lighter then my loomis heavy but much closer to it then my mh loomis. Seems to me they are closer at the lower power ratings, but still about halfway between. So I fish accordingly. I also have no problem fishing 1/2 to 3/4 oz jigs on my mh stcroix.

Both nice rods. Having both stcroix and loomis rods I would expect that the stcroix to have a heavier action. Maybe closer to a light 3 series? I would pick the rod on what your main use for it will be.

Friend and coworker keeps a picture of his last contest were he just beat Dave by one spot. But Dave was only about twelve at the time. Seems like a lot of the icons of BMX have passed away lately Brethrupt Sewell, Bennet and many more. Sad RIP.

Have the LTB version. Dropshot, small spinners ,spoons and crankbaits for smallmouth and trout, Also weightless worms etc. In the three or so years I have had the rod no problem with hook sets with eight pound test copoly or dragging a fish in. The down side for me has been that with a casting rig I tend to horse fish in and with six or eight pound test not a good idea. So make sure to set your drag accordingly . I use it with an abu ltx reel and cast down to 1/16 oz with good distance. Mine is at a rod builder right now being changed over to a full grip from too short for large hands split grip.. Thank you.

Eightysix not including inline spinners?

I don't own a Avid but I do own a few LTB,S . My 7mm has become my main spinnerbait ,chaterbait rod. It seems like I can keep them pinned much better then with a stiffer rod. The MH in this line seems to be closer to most heavy action then medium. I use that rod for frogs , jigs etc. Are bass are much smaller up here in the MI , OH area but I had no problem pulling in about a five pounder on a chatterbait this summer out of the weeds. On a side note if you have large hands I have found front grip on their split grip way to short for my LX glove size hands. I took three last night to the rod builder to have the grip area extended . All casting rods. On spinning rods I don't think it would matter.
