  1. Sportsman's has cheap prices, but they are legit. I bought a tatula rod from there and it was shipped very nicely and the rod is great. Gotta get a high speed reel 8.1:1 for jig/frog rod.
  2. I love all my Lews. I have 3 MBs and for the price, I really don't feel like they can be beat. I have a newer LFS that was like $80 on ebay that I use for casting baits like chatterbaits and paddletails, and I literally can take my thumb off the spool when I cast it. As for Daiwa, I think they also make a great reel. I tend to use them for pitching and flipping set ups though because of the T Wing. In regards to comfort I would say that the Lews reels are much more palmable and comfortable. Really you can't go wrong if you ask me.
  3. I’ve fished all of them. For sensitivity I would go Tatula all day and plus they are only $100 on sportsman’s outfitters. I have the MH XF and it’s a great rod for Texas rigging but seems a little under powered for bigger jigs. I have 4 fury rods and they are light and incredibly balanced and just a joy to fish. If you’re willing to find a deal I’d look at a Tatula elite as well. Mojos always feel heavy to me btw.
  4. Guy said he’s used it three times and got it earlier this year. Now I know that that could be total BS, but if he’s honest I think I did well.
  5. Was thinking of picking this up as a jig rod, but I found this same rod in the elite line used for $125. Wondering if I should spend the extra money.
  6. Could be worse you could live in Illinois!!
  7. Overtons has 30% off again with MEMORIAL30 code. Guess I’ll spend more money.
  8. Yea and if you buy it on overtons which is owned by gander you can get it for 25% off I think.
  9. Check overtons, they have 25% off going right now.
  10. Thanks for the input......wondering if the elite is really worth $50-60 more than the reg tatulas.
  11. That’s exactly what u want it for. I throw 3/8 oz jigs when skipping docks. I’m guessing it would handle those too, but I have the MH 7’1 so I would have options. Just wondering if the elites are worth the price jump.
  12. Do you have that rod? Thinking about getting it or the same rod in the Tatula line.
  13. Anyone have this rod in the Tatula or Tatula elite line?
  14. Thanks for the insight.....yea like I said, great rod just don’t love the balance for jig fishing. Have you heard anything about the Tatula elite rods?
  15. I notice a significant difference with the same exact reel on. Maybe I got a bad one I don’t know. Since I got your attention, do you have any Tatula or Tatula elite HF 7’1 Rods? I have a new Tatula 7’1 MH for my t rig rod and was thinking about getting a HF for jigs.
  16. Thanks. The tatulas are $100 at sportsman’s outfitters, I’m not sure where I could find the elites for 130 though. I’m thinking about the heavy rod as well.
  17. Regular elite, I not on that AGS level lol.
  18. Anyone have this rod? I bought it as a jig rod, and I’m starting to realize that it’s tip heavy compared to my Fury and Tatula. Anyone else notice this? It’s a well built rod and is sensitive and strong, but tip heavy is not good for a jig rod.
  19. Thinking about picking up a new Jig rod. Looking at either 7’1 MH F or a 7’1 HF. I have the new Tatula in MHF and so far I really like it, but have been wondering if the Elite is worth the price jump. Also wondering if the HF would be better for jigs 3/8-3/4 than my MHF that I use for Texas rigs. Any thoughts or opinions are welcome
  20. I’m starting to realize that my promise 73 is a little tip heavy too and not as light as my Tatula MH or my Dobyns Fury 734. Now considering using the Fury 734 as my jig rod and the promise 73 to a chatterbait, swim jig, paddle tail rod.
  21. Thinking about selling my ALX IKOS promise 73 for a Sierra 734. I have a fury 734 that I use for swim jigs chatterbaits and paddle tails. Was considering using the ALX for that and using the fury 734 for jig fishing. If not I would sell the ALX and buy a 734 Sierra. I fish 15-20lb flouro for jigs.
  22. Any substantial differences between the two series?
  23. 3/8-1/2 ounce jigs. Fishing mostly around grass and wood. Any feedback would be appreciated.
  24. 3/8-1/2 ounce jigs. Fishing mostly around grass and wood. Any feedback would be appreciated.
