Actually I am just the opposite. Hurts my lower back and butt to sit. I usually end up standing in my kayak. Really considering buying a paddle board to replace my yak. Pretty sure I could fish from the paddle board comfortably.

Used my kayak once this year paddling with the wife. I didn't buy a new bass boat to sit on my aching butt and paddle around the lake. About the only 2 reasons I can think of is , inability to launch a boat. Or just plain don't own a boat. Otherwise it's just exercise.

Wrong, just got back from fishing Otisco lake wich is a finger lake in upstate NY. Fairly deep and clear. I fished in 10 -20 ft for a hour without a bite. Started tossing soft plastic to the shoreline and right away caught two 5lb bass in 6" of water.

1983 living in a apartment sniffing $400 a week up my nose. Said to myself " If you quit this , you could buy a nice house." Quit and bought that house. Best d**n decision I ever made.

He is absolutely correct. You don't need any electronics at all. I use one up front while fishing to control depth I am fishing. But all you need is a good topo map of the lake. This time of year, look for drop offs or hump , creeks, anything unusual that might attract bass. From there it is process of elimination. Then the next day, start all over again. You aren't going to just run out there and catch fish. You have to keep pushing on and eliminate water. I start every morning on the east side of the lake and up wind. From there I controlled drift the length of the lake. If I do not catch a fish in say a half to three quarters of an hour, I move. Typically I will just switch to the west side up wind. Starting up wind you are more free to cast, rather than fighting the wind with your trolling motor. Be paitient, you will figure it out

On a side note, there is a private lake up here called Song lake. Used to be real good bass fishing for as long as I could remember. Well the property owners decided to add grass carp to help control the vegetation. You know, because NY people can't have weeds in their waterfront ! Well the bass fishing declined so badly at this lake after about 5 years of the carp eating everything. I just stopped fishing there.

They have a National carp tournament up here in Baldwinsville NY every year. Big turnout pumps a ton of money into the local economy.

I personally would not lift a 1/2 ton truck. It is basically a car with a open trunk. If you want a big truck, buy a real truck. Minimum 3/4 ton. Then you can be into crawling over imports.

When I was a teenager I lived in a house that the basement flooded every spring. Every year the insurance company would buy new furnace snd water heater. I think my mom lived there 17 years and flooded 3 to 4 feet deep every year. Sump pump brother.

I have remodeled every house I have owned and nearly doubled my money in 5 years with every home. Doing the work yourself is the ONLY way to go. Save huge amounts of cash that way. I now own 2 homes free and clear from the money I made on those houses. If I had paid someone else to do the work, I would have 2 mortgages. Now that I hit 55 y.o. I have slowed waaayyyyy down, find it hard to get motivated to do the work. Glad I am done flipping houses.

I was sitting in my boat preparing for the upcoming week. Spooling some new line , and figuring what to tie on for these high waters we have up in NY state. The bite has been slow for me. Even watching some fish check out my lure, and turn and leave. As I am deciding what to do. I think of it. " Drop shot " Never used this technique before , and thought why not ? What have I got to loose. Any pointers before I go out and try this method that I have never done before ? I thought I would try a stick worm wacky style. Anything else ? Thanks for any help

My father in law was a butcher. He will only eat Hoffman hot dogs. We winces every time you mention hot dog. I have certainly changed my opinion on hot dogs since meeting him. I typically will not eat hot dogs.
