  1. Aside from the obvious more line capacity, and more consistent line recovery per turn of the handle. What are the pros/cons of a 400 round reel. I'm thinking calcutta, c,d or conquest, or a curado 300e. Low pro I'm thinking more comfortable. Better ergos. Maybe better for more applications. I have a new orochii xx leviathon. For swimbaits and need a good reel. (It's also the best carolina rig stick I've ever used... talk about some bone jarring hooksets)
  2. My first big bait rod is a orochii xx leviathon. 1/2-8 Oz. I like it for big jigs and heavy c-rigs alot too. Turns around 8 pounders like nothin
  3. I caught this day before yesterday my friend who I was with was dissapointed when we viewed the pics because he said it looked like a 2 pound fish.
  4. Regular 3/o offset Worm hooks work very well for me. I hardly use ewg on anything no need for ewg for flukes or anything that has a split belly
  5. Carolina rig fluke.
  6. Big strong ones for me. If a fish can look past a 1oz sinker brass clacker and red bead, I don't think a bigger stronger swivel will deter it. I fish a c-rig alot. Here's a 9# c-rig fish from yesterday.
  7. Is this the best knot hands down? I've learned to tie it well. I almost quit fishing flourocarbon all together from breaking off fish.
  8. I like both of mine 843 mbr and 894 jw they are relativEly light aND sensitive enough. BUT im thinking of selling them. For more orochii xx now that is one hell of a stick
  9. Food . Cut bait for trot line
  10. No one mentioned cuba. I read of a local spearing a 30# lmb. Maybe Cubans never let the truth get in the way of a good fish story.
  11. Having 6-9 rods rigged up all with different variations of T-rigs C-rigs weightless worm/fluke and Jigs. And that's it all the time.
  12. So it's safe to say that quality control and materials are parallel. No matter where a shimano is made?
  13. Are these reels as good as the Japanese made reels. Are the scorpion I 200 reels Japanese made? I have 3 curado I s and like them very much but was wondering of the quality since they're no longer manufactured in Japan
  14. x2. I have the new version of the imx 843mbr and it's good for many techniques but really shines for bottom contact baits with in the range of the rod.
  15. The rods are abu garcia, lews/fuji, and fjork?? Reels are Shakespeare presidents 1980. And a Ted Williams made in japan
  16. My Grandpa's fishing equipment from back in the day. Was wondering how old They are. And if they were good for their time. They feel really smooth. He has a ton of old bass plugs some probably 50 years old. Rest in peace Poppa.
  17. I used to be loomified. Until these came along. Next will be the levetian. Now that's a stick!
  18. Orochii xx extreme mission and perfect pitch
  19. Last 2 days this very thing has happened. Wednesday all day 1 black bass. Yessterday nothing. Marked alot of fish all at around 20 foot. No bites.Fork can humble your butt in a hurry. So we salvaged the day by tying on a 6xd And a spoon and got a quick limit of sandbass. Had alot of fun.and got fish for the freezer.
  20. Jig, and probably.green pumpkin 6 inch lizard
  21. Hahaha yeah.my mistake Remove the educated fish from the lake. Caught = educated some what . If every fish that's caught gets taken out it leaves alot of fish that have never seen a lure. I was just thinking about how old timers in my area Loved to fish and kept all the legal fish for food.maybe those lakes were stocked more.
  22. How do you guys feel about keeping bass to eat.could it benefit a lake by taking uneducated fish out.
