  1. This one got it in the tail
  2. I had the urge to try for some bass today after the saltwater trip last weekend. I gave ol' Ryan a call and we headed out on the water. It turns out that we picked a great day! We managed to boat 31 fish and missed quite a few also. The biggest was 6lb 14oz and we had 3 or 4 around 5lbs. Most of the fish were in the 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 lb range. They were fighting very strong!
  3. There was another guy fishing the same spot as us. His son was aaround 10 or so and hooked into about an 8 lb'er. It gave him about a 10 min fight. The largest we boated was about 3 1/2 lbs. We had a few nice ones on but they bit the line in half. One bit my finger and I bled like a stuck pig for a while.
  4. 77 degrees on saturday! Very nice fishing weather. We were going to go try for some red fish, but my stepdad has been sick and very weak for the last 6 months. So we fished near the boat ramp in case he started feeling bad. He didn't want to get off the water after we started ripping them, it was nice to get out there with him and enjoy his new boat!
  5. world record grouper
  6. I just got back from a trip to Panama City Beach to visit my family for x-mas. My stepdad just bought a 22' bay boat and we decided to give some fishing a try! We never caught a single bass, but we did manage to get about 40 bluefish in the boat and one grouper! Not too bad for a 3 hour trip...
  7. Good luck tomorrow! Hope yall rip em'! I am going to try and get a shot at one of those rutting bucks. They are wide open at my DeKalb property and it is hard for me to stay out of the woods...
  8. He gutted it on the boat and ate it later... So unfortunately this pikeral never got to eat another blugill...
  9. Here is the bluegill out of the throat...
  10. Here is the blugill in the throat... You can just make out the tail...
  11. Sweet fish! We call em' jack fish around here. The biggest I have seen boated was a little over 6 pounds that my friend caught at lake varner about 7 years ago. My friend Chad caught this one at lake walton last spring. We didn't weigh it, but I figure it may have gone close to 5 lbs. It had a big ol' blugill stuck in its throat when it hit his spinnerbait.
