  1. Well... The pier is under a big bridge along the Indian River whch runs down along Volusia County (east coast) I have been here before and caught 1 Pinfish... I have seen people catch snapper, stingray, bonnethead shark, etc so there is definetly a lot of options to target. I do know one "secret spot" on the pier where people always seem to catch fish so i'll try to hang around there as much as possible.
  2. Of course. Especially when i'm fishing: "Was that a splash over there?" "Woah! I swear there was a bass just there!"...
  3. I know this is a site full of bass fisherman but hopefully someone can aid me with this... I'll be competing in my first tournament on Nov 7. Not a bass tournament, but a saltwater tournament located on a big pier. Anyways I could use some tips on how to outfish my peers from a pier (no pun intended) Biggest fish (In Length) wins.
  4. We were 10 miles offshore off of Ponce Inlet (East Coast)
  5. They're good but i hate em!
  6. It was at this moment that LiftedSquare13 decided to stay out of this one... *grabs popcorn*
  7. Lol this is the best thread i've ever seen.
  8. It is wood, and there are no signs of who made it. I've spent some time looking at antique lures online and it seems similar to some Devon lures i found. There were similar looking lures selling for like $150 so i'm getting a bit excited
  9. I would agree with you except for the fact that it does not float
  10. Yup it sure does.
  11. Lol thought it would. I've heard flounder love bucktails, i've also always heard you should tip it with shrimp, well, how about tipping it with Gulp shrimp
  12. I found this lure stuck on a rock in a stream in WV while trout fishing. I tried it and didn't catch any trout with it. When i got home i tried it at a pond here and caught nothing. It spins when i retrieve it but the fish don't seem to care... Here it is: Anyways. What is it and how do i use it?
  13. I caught these fish a few months ago on an offshore charter. I'm pretty sure i'm right about what they are but i want to make sure so here they are: White Grunt? Red Snapper?
  14. I'm taking my friend (who doesn't fish much) saltwater fishing this weekend. The area we are going to has a good abundance of keeper size flounder. While setting up my gear, i had an idea. Bucktail jigs are supposed to be good for flounder right? Well, what if i put a gulp shrimp (3" New Penny) on that bucktail jig? Is this a good idea?
  15. Patriots will get destroyed by the Packers if they even make it that far.
  16. What happened to the Ravens this year
  17. Fortunately, there are still some big bass in there (my PB) and it's kinda fun catchings all those dinks until one day you get a big one! I'm hoping to one day cach one of those 15-20lb grass carp i see lurking...
  18. Unfortunatley, due to all the fertilizer from the runoff of sprinkler water i have determined it is unsafe to eat fish from there. (and have been told as well) I have also found that i can catch them with a spinnerbait. I have also caught a good few with a 2in crankbait XD and believe it or not, a popper even had a bluegill blowup.
  19. Alright i've got a good idea of how to rig it up now
  20. I've always just bass fished with a jig, crankbait, spinnerbait, etc, and believe it or not, i've never used a drop shot rig in my life. I'm getting kinda bored of catching fish the same way so why not learn something new, heck, it could even turn out to be super productive. So, can someone tell me how to set up a drop shot?
  21. Alright Alright I'll get some lures lol
  22. I can cast about 50yds with these... I'll be fishing here on the east coast of florida (around Daytona Beach) If i catch anything it'll probably be bluefish, jacks, ladyfish etc. I think a 6-7in lure would be too big. Especially since i'll be using 15lb line.
  23. Lol i actually do have a pack of gulp shrimp 3" in new penny XD I just don't want to risk them getting destroyed by a bluefish or jack.
