  1. I have one on my Ranger Rt188. It's expensive but the spot lock is no joke. It's amazing. Had a fortrex and it takes a bit to get use to how easy the foot pedal is to move. After a day of fishing I was all good. I can't say enough good things about the ultrex. Yesterday I was out fishing in a steady 15 mph wind. Bass were on wood and I found a laydown. Pointed nose into the wind and hit spot lock with back of boat 5 or so feet from laydown. Walked to back of boat and proceeded to catch 6 fish out of that tree flipping. Like I said expensive but I don't regret it one bit. I can not wait for June. Headed to KY lake to do some ledge fishing.
  2. Plano 3700 spinnerbait box is great for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and jigs.
  3. I have 2. One casting(worm) and one spinning(drop shot). Both good rods for the money. I plan in picking up another.
  4. If you can afford it always get the Fortrex.
  5. Please forget about throwing worms again.... I throw em every day
  6. I have the Lowrance Elite 3x portable so I run it off of the battery that came with it. I went with that since I use it ice fishing too.
  7. Transducer cone comes out like this https://tse4.mm.bing.net/th?id=JN.COKtsMn%2bQa3Ed3Xr0n3nSw&pid=15.1
  8. No I do not. The signal come out the flat bottom part not the back end. So it is sending the signal straight down in front of the prop.
  9. like in this picture http://www.crappie.com/crappie/attachments/main-crappie-fishing-forum/8344d1168607502-trolling-motor-transducer-mounts-transducer-jpg
  10. Yes. Its a good spot to mount it. horizontal with the point forward if its a lowrance transducer. If you mount the transducer in the back of the boat you will already be at least 10ft past what you are seeing on screen. The very right side of the screen is what you are going over currently so you are actually a little ahead of what you see on screen.
  11. I prefer mounting on the trolling motor.

  13. ebay. It's called the Bullnose Rudder. The people selling it on there are very nice. They are the owners I believe. Shipped same day I bought it. user ID was lorinjim It was right at $40 shipped but imo is worth it. Didnt have to buy parts to piece something together and its well built. Took me all of 60 seconds to install.
  14. Here is a picture of the rudder I use if anyone is interested. Need to clean it up a little but the old trolling motor sat in a barn for 20 years. lol
