Graphite or "Plastic" haters
I have caught redfish over 30 inches on a Ci4 2500 as well as a FK 3000 and they did flex a bit but my BG 2500 doesn't. That being said those fish pull MUCH harder than any bass does. For bass fishing its all personal preference imo and I generally don't care I like and own both for different purposes.

Fury vs JM Signature Series (some help please)
The Fury rod uses Toray carbon. The BPS rods use RX6t4350934590 graphite (hopefully my sarcasm is felt here). The old Carbonlites were a great rod at the 100 dollar price point until the Fury came out. IMO nothing really even comes close to the Fury at the 100 dollar price point.

Daiwa spinning reel
I own a 2500 BG and a Stradic FK 3000. Between those two you cant go wrong at their given price points, the BG is by far the best 100 dollar spinner I have ever used and the FK is a solid choice. After having fished one I can safely say had the Tatula LT been out when I got my Stradic I wouldn't own the FK. The Tatula LT 2500 is my next reel.

FINS Braid thooughts
The 10 lb fishes better than any other 4 carrier I have used and better than most 8 carrier braids.

Rod Advice after fishing some new setups XF vs F
I fish a fast moving river and use braided line. I find the super fast actions of some rods will come unloaded while I am trying to get a smallmouth out of the current. This may very well be my technique but since I have gone to slower actions I don't lose nearly as many fish. I could see using the faster actions in a lake setting or even slower moving rivers but they don't work for how and where I fish.

FINS Braid thooughts
10 and 12 lb Windtamer is the best braid I have ever used. I would still be using it had I not got a stupid deal on bulk spools of 10 lb 832. I only fish spinning tackle so take that for what its worth.

Rod Advice after fishing some new setups XF vs F
I for one can not stand all the super fast actions you see in many rods today. I go out of my way to find rods that are on the slower side of fast. Some brands to look at are Dobyns (Sierra line most of all), Megabass, and Phenix (the M1 line is great). I have found these rods fish on the slower side of fast and really help in keeping hooked fished pinned. I LOVE the Avid line of rods but they are just to fast in the actions for me (this isn't even counting the XF models).

Thanks for clearing that up guys!! Tatula LT back on the radar.

Rod for light jerkbait
I fish all my jerkbaits on a Dobyns Sierra 703 with 10 lb braid. I also fish a river that might get to 10 feet deep on a really deep spot and the water is moving pretty fast.

Suggestions for Crankbait Spinning Rods
I just my Dobyns Sierra 703 for jerkbaits, smaller top water, and 1.5 size squarebills without issue. These blanks are on the slower side of fast and do just fine with treble hook baits.

So for example I have a BG 2500 and a Stradic FK 3000 would a Tatula LT 2500 give me a frame size close to those two? I want to try one of those reels but none of my local shops carry them so I will have to try it sight unseen which makes me nervous and almost makes me just want to go with a Stradic Ci4 2500.

Would you say these line capacity ratings are correct or is the standard 8/170 for a Daiwa 2500 more accurate? MONO: 8/240, 10/210 Going off the Daiwa website the 2000 size at 6/220 is more in line with the standard line capacity of a Daiwa 2500. They have the 3000 listed at 8/160 so I am wondering if they have the line capacities of the 2500 and 3000 backwards on the website. Tackle warehouse also has the same listings.

Go Stradic FK or stay Ultegra
The FK will give you better bearings and more of them as well as some of the higher end line management features. If I had an Ultegra I would be happy if I was in the market for a new reel then $50 difference is worth it imo.

St Croix vs Dobyns
Yes to me it would be. It will likely be slightly stiffer in the tip section than the Fury you are used to but the sensitivity on the Avid line is above the Sierra.
-
St Croix vs Dobyns
The Avid line is better than the Fury line in every single way. To get a Dobyns equal to an Avid in sensitivity you have to go to the Champion line.
-
Dobyns Sierra vs St. Croix Avid X
Used both and own a 703 Sierra and for a technique where feel is of the up most importance I would go with an Avid. I hate micro guides though so I would go with a regular Avid (owned a 7 foot ml Avid). The Avid blank is more sensitive than the Sierra but I really like the slightly more moderate action of the Sierra and that's why I don't own the Avid any longer and never purchased an Avid X. With my BG 2500 neither rod is tip heavy with my Stradic FK the Seirra is tip heavy and both the regular Avid and the X balanced just fine.

Your Reel Opinion... Daiwa/Abu
I will always take a Daiwa over an Abu. Those Tatula reels are awesome. I got to fish one and put it equal to my Stradic FK in everyway.

Best spinning reel and rod for bass fishing?
Get a Stradic 2500 put Carbontex drag washers in it and pair it with whatever 7 foot medium power rod feels best in your hand. This combo should last you for a decade if you take care of it. I still have Stradics that are over 10 years old and working (1000 and 2000 FG). I can not say the same thing about any Daiwa branded reel.

Best spinning reel and rod for bass fishing?
The only LT reel I have used so far has been the Tatula but if the lower end ones are in the same ballpark they will be a solid choice. I am only speaking for reels I have personally fished. The only way I have seen a Ci4 balance is with a full cork handle. Which is fine by me as I prefer them but I know a lot of people don't. You are right I do kidda have a crush on my BG.

Best spinning reel and rod for bass fishing?
I own both a Stradic FK and a BG. I have also fished the Ci4+ and the new Tatula LT. Given the choice all over again I would buy another BG and take the 100 bucks I saved on the reel and get a better rod with it. The BG is that good. The Ci4 and Tatula are good reels but they are so light I have issue balancing them on rods. If that was of no concern I would take the Tatula over the other three without a second thought. The Mojo uses the SCIII material but it is not the same blank as an Avid, that being said its a heck of a rod for the price.

Completely agree on the BG!!!

What Tube Rod
No question the E6X. I fish a Sierra 703 for tubes and I really like it. I much prefer slower action rods so this blank is perfect for me. If someone wanted a faster blank the Tatula Elite series is an insane rod at its price point. In my hands the Tatula is more sensitive than the Champion line from Dobyns.

Best spinning reel and rod for bass fishing?
For $200 get a Stradic FK 2500 or 3000. I would take a Dobyns Fury 703 over the bass X and a Mojo over the Fury.
