  1. I'm still using it, its very good braid. A little stiff at first but nice and smooth, plus ties FG knots very well...
  2. the delivery wait in long enough, I want to fish new gear as soon as I get it, line it up and go... I have a Daiwa Certate LT that should be here Monday, I have the line and rod waiting so I can get right to it haha.
  3. Usually my braid will last a couple seasons, I transfer the older line to other reels so all yards of line get used. For example, the braid on my stella was looking a bit frayed, so I reeled it off onto my Steez so the older braid would be underneath the newer braid on that reel. I then add new braid onto my stella.....if that makes sense LOL.
  4. It all depends on structure, species, size of fish targeting and how you like to fish. I could take a ML spinning rod and use it for most of my fishing applications, but I like to finesse fish and I also like the challenge of a larger fish on a lighter application. Most people can get away with a MH fast action casting rod and a ML fast action spinning rod and be good.
  5. I started with a Ugly stick when I was a kid, they are good rods, very durable but lack sensitivity, then I got a fenwick, St Croix and eventually Gloomis and IMO it totally helps and sensitivity is a major contributor. Action also helps, my crankbait rod is glass and it helps keep fished pinned.
  6. I know this is old but I just happen to run into this thread I have a 842 conquest spinning rod and its very sensitive, I also have a GLX 842 and IMO I feel that the Conquest is a little more sensitive but its hard to tell, its definitely lighter in weight and feels like it has more power. Honestly, I would go NRX, Conquest then GLX in sensitivity, but all three are amazing.
  7. Nope, I can cast 1/16 farther and easier with a spinning rod. If anyone wants to challenge me I'm down....
  8. Maybe the new Stradic CI4+ will be white, that would be sick...
  9. Wish it was white.
  10. I love my Destroyer rods, NRX rods and my Conquest rods all about the same, but I use them all with different techniques. Never tried a Z-bone.

Outdoor Research Activeice Casting Gloves are the best gloves I have used, I have 4 pair of them now. Simms would be my second choice.
  12. I like 8 carrier braids. The ones I use most are Sunline Xplasma, Pline TCB 8 and if I need a quick fill and don't have time to order the other two I will go with 832.
  13. Looks like user error to me or you are asking to much from that braid, if you are running it though cover then use a leader to prevent your braid from fraying. It doesn't cut easy because, well its braid. Use braid specific scissors and burn the end with a lighter.
  14. Red Label is not what it used to be, they also don't wind it onto the spool cleanly like they used to. I will take InvisX and Tatsu
  15. Love the Stella
  16. I go from the reel to the tip. Just the tip I promise....
  17. If you use your left hand it feels like someone else ? All my reels are left hand....
  18. I can't wait for the Certate 19
  19. I love Tatsu, but hate the price...
  20. 10lb sunline xplasma to FC leader.
  21. Double San Diego jam knot. But I do remove the split rings and use a snap.
  22. Sounds like over twisted line. When it comes off the spool its so twisted up its causing the line to coils.
