  2. Don't waste your time with Baldwin, went there today it's a landlocked wma. No public Access that we could find short of walking through someone's backyard. But we did check out Rosedale park up the road, great place I plan to drop the yak in there and try it.

  6. I always wear a pfd, i have a stohlquist and have been out on the water for over 6hrs and never has it been uncomfortable. it also doesent hinder anything i need to do bonus points for the extra storage i always have my keys and cell in the zippered pocket.
  7. rod leashes are a def in all situations, everything on my boat is leashed to the boat. I dont run into many situations where my rods are slippery i only have cork handles i prefer them over the foam handles by a long shot. Not sure if thats the reason though.

  9. i would def go for the atak 140, it will be my next boat after the summer. Has everything i want and more. Has the option for paddles pedals or motor.

  11. Nice, I just started fishing big water from my kayak. Haven't boated anything yet. Crazy seeing a smallie come smashing up the water from bottom to just stop and stare. Crystal clear water to 135'

  13. Meh whatever still won't get my money dicks can die off and it'd be no loss to me. Sports authority was a joke lots of fishing hunting on their website nothing in their store. Most items were ship from warehouse so the store had no stock, least that's how the one by me was.

  16. If u have an open rear and get into a slippery situation while going slow ride the brakes a little bit. It will slow the spinng wheel and send power to the non spinning tire. That truck should tow fine and u can always through a limited slip in later
  17. Getting ready to setup my new kayak, looking at FF's. I am looking at the hummingbird helix5DI and the pirahnamaxx 197c. I understand the differences what i would like to know would i benefit from the 5DI over the 197 with a kayak? Some of the resovoirs around here are up to 160' deep. I will be running rivers, lakes and the resovoirs from 2-160' deep. So will i benefit with the helix 5DI? Thanks for any insight.
  18. Look into the perception pescador pro 10. I just put a deposit on one it meets all my needs. It won over a lure just due to river usage.
