Jig on straight braid?
I flip and pitch with braid exclusively and never have used a leader.

Bigfoot Scum Frog
I am no sure this will help but for me with my spro bronze eye frogs I bend the hooks out away from the body a little bit and has increased my hookup immensely.

rate of fall
Seems to me that your getting fish on a feeding bite and not a reaction type strike to me that says jig with a craw trailer dragged slowly right on the bottom.

Suggestions on Inflatable
I fish out of a 9ft pontoon type boat and I use a portable Hummingbird fishing buddy you might take a look you could install the mount right on the transom and never have to worry just remove the fish finder when not in use.

Swim baits for smallies
I have been fishing some swim baits for smallies here on the river and not had a bit of luck catching them on them. But yet I can turn around and throw a jig or a crank and catch fish have any of you guys had the same kind of luck. What type of swim bait are you catching smallies succesfully on?

Couple ?'s on the Drop Shot
For me it depends on what the current is for example when I was fishing Missouri lakes I rarely used more than a 1/4 oz weight but here on the Columbia River I use up to and over 1 oz because of the current. I suppose what I am trying to convey is use the lightest weight you can get away with while still being in control and keeping it on the bottom.

Open season on litterers
I dont know about the rest of you but now days I carry trashbags with me all the time it may be no fun picking up after others but I would rather take a minute and pick it up than see a goose or some other bird tangled in fishing line. I will say that if I see someone throw down trash I do go out of my way to make them look like a idiot. In most cases I walk up and say here is a trash bag for your garbage I like my river banks to be clean. They often get a guilty look on there faces and thank me.
